Brian Kendrick vs Kalisto
Kalisto came out of the
blocks fast and hit a hurracanrana followed by a tope codheiro to the outside. He then dragged Kendrick back in and hit the spinning springboard elbow. Kendrick then attempted an early Sliced Bread #2 which Kalisto countered and tried to hit a Salito Del Sol which was in turn aboided.
Kalisto then followed it up with a corner dropkick but Kendrick grabbed onto the ropes to catch a break. As the referee looked away, Kendrick rolled him, smashing his head against the bottom turnbuckle. Kendrick then positioned Kalisto’s head between the ring and the steel steps and smashed the steel steps into Kalisto’s head.
Kendrick now had the match firmly in control as he locked in a Cravat Hold as shouted insults at Kalisto. Kendrick did his best to slow down the pace and keep Kalisto down but Kalisto tried to hit back with his lightning quick kicks. Kalisto then hit a basement dropkick on Kendrick as he tried to re-enter the ring and followed it up with a standing Spanish Fly from the ring apron to the floor. Incredible move.
Kalisto then re-entered the ring only to hit Kendrick with a suicide dive to the outside. Kalisto followed it up with punches to Kendrick’s head but Kendrick rolled him back in the ring and went to the top rope. Kalisto met him there and attempted a top rope Salito Del Sol which got blocked by Kendrick. Kendrick hit a reverse headlock takeover from the top rope which he transitioned directly into a Bully Choke. Kalisto looked like he’d tap for a second but then managed to reach the ropes.
Kalisto hit back with lightning quick kicks followed by a cartwheel driver followed by a low hurracanra on Kendrick. He followed it up with a Salito Del Sol but attempted his pin too close to the ropes as Brian Kendrick reached the bottom rope. Kalisto then went to the top rope and Baron Corbin suddenly entered the ring. He attacked Kendrick from behind which led to the DQ and followed it up with an End Of Days to Kalisto.
