WWE Survivor Series 2016: 5 possible endings for 5-on-5 women’s match

Survivor Series is a great place to debut

The whole Women’s Revolution, which was going on in the WWE, took a big blow due to the brand split. Despite not having enough depth in the Women’s division, WWE decided to split it up into two and ever since, the fans have been talking about the decision.

While some criticize the decision to split the women, others debate about which brand has the better Women’s division.

This question could be put to bed at Survivor Series, as the top female names from both the brands will go head to head at the show. And in this list, we are going to take a look at the possible ways the match could end.

#5 A debut from NXT

Ember Moon could be a surprise package

Making headlines with Survivor Series is what WWE wants to do, to improve their ratings of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown live. Kicking off an interesting angle at the show on Sunday night would naturally make the fans curious about the fallout.

One such booking decision that could draw eyeballs to Raw or SmackDown is the surprise debut of an NXT Superstar after this match. Either Raw or SmackDown could take the win, but once the match is over, someone from NXT could come out and take out the Superstars while they celebrate their win.

Asuka is a solid candidate considering her dominance, but as she is the reigning champion in NXT, Ember Moon would be a much better choice.

#4 Lone survivor Bayley

The ultimate underdog

The traditional Survivor Series match is all about building up baby face underdogs. Though WWE has many baby faces in this match, the best one from the lot is hands down Bayley. Rumours suggest that she could be on the path for a feud with Charlotte for the Raw Women’s title and this makes her a right candidate to become the lone survivor in this match.

Bayley going up against the odds and defeating team SmackDown as the lone survivor, could have a lasting impact on her character. At the same time, with such a booking, WWE would successfully take out Sasha Banks of the title scene and automatically inject Bayley into the proceedings, heading into Raw’s next pay-per-view venture.

#3 Becky Lynch with the much-needed push

Becky needs a strong showing

The way WWE has pushed the Women’s division on Raw and SmackDown has been different. While Raw benefited from the momentum that Sasha Banks and Charlotte had, SmackDown had to struggle with the fan backlash against Nikki Bella and the weak booking that Becky Lynch got.

Unlike the women on Raw, the SmackDown Superstars did not get their Hell in a Cell moment as well. All these factors put the Women’s division of SmackDown behind Raw and WWE could change this, if they give Team SmackDown a win at Survivor Series.

And who should lead the team to victory? Becky Lynch.

Nikki Bella being the lone survivor, is perhaps a path that WWE would want to take but that would make the fans unhappy. Becky, on the other hand, needs a huge win to showcase that she is still on the same level as Sasha, Charlotte and Bayley.

#2 Nia Jax shows that she’s really a lone wolf

Nia can be the turning point

It’s no secret that WWE is high about Nia Jax. She is a monster heel in the Raw Women’s division that could dominate anyone, and this makes her a ticking time bomb on Team Raw. If someone on the team, especially Dana Brooke or Charlotte, manages to piss off Nia, she could go on a destruction path and wipe out Team Raw.

A mad Nia taking out two or three members of Team Raw could serve as a good turning point in the match.

This could then result in the win of Team SmackDown, making Nia a lone wolf monster and at the same time, earning her a lot of heat from the entire Raw Women’s division; the perfect combination for a heel on many levels.

#1 Charlotte leads Raw to success

The streak continues

Charlotte is perhaps the most strongly booked female wrestler on the WWE roster right now. She is a three-time Women’s Champion and apart from this, she has some huge wins to showcase in her resume from the past few months.

To top things off, Charlotte also has a pay-per-view streak going on. WWE is apparently planning to make the streak a major storyline in the coming weeks, and if that is the case, then she has to get a strong booking at Survivor Series as well.

As the team captain, if Charlotte ends up leading the team to a victory without getting eliminated, it would be a big achievement for her.
