WWE Survivor Series 2017: Last-minute predictions for the PPV

PPV of the year?
PPV of the year?

Are you hyped for Survivor Series or what? The last big PPV of the year is almost here and a stacked card has ensured that the excitement levels are at its peak.

The David vs. Goliath showdown between Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles will headline the show that includes a star-studded Traditional Elimination match for undisputed brand supremacy, some marquee champion vs. champion matches and the clash between two of the greatest factions of the new era.

On paper, the show has all the making of being the best PPV of the year and possibly, the greatest Survivor Series edition of all time.

So before it all gets underway in a few hours, here are the final predictions for Survivor Series 2017:

#1. Enzo Amore vs. Kalisto (WWE Cruiserweight Championship) (Kickoff)

The only title match of the night is as straightforward as it comes. Amore should get the job done here with the JawDonzo (sigh!) and possibly wrap up his feud with Kalisto.

The Bonafide G has made brought the attention towards the dwindling Cruiserweight division as the Champion and a title change in favour of a lukewarm Kalisto would be a major misstep.

Prediction: Enzo Amore retains

#2. The Bar vs. The Usos

<p>

The clash between the tag team champions is bound to be one of the matches of the night. Both teams are coming off solid feuds against the Shield and The New Day respectively, with the twins putting on some of the best tag team bouts in recent memory.

Considering their track record, Sheamus and Cesaro may not be able to return from get the Uso penitentiary as the SmackDown Tag Team Champion should get the job done for team blue.

Prediction: The Usos win

Team Sd: 1

Team Raw: 0

#3. Alexa Bliss vs. Charlotte

<p>

The Queen vs. The Goddess may be short of proper build-up, but the match itself should be one of Alexa Bliss' best in the WWE, considering she is working with one of the best workers in the company.

Bliss may be the most well-booked superstar on the roster after Brock Lesnar but Charlotte is WWE's original golden girl. The Flair Scion has all the momentum going into the match and should come out as the top women's Champion among both brands.

Prediction: Charlotte wins

Team SD: 2

TeamRaw: 0

#4. Baron Corbin vs. The Miz

<p>

This one's the only damper in an otherwise star-studded match card as the fans can sense a bore fest in store. The battle of the mid-card champions should be a short match with The A-Lister getting the W here with the assistance of his stooges.

The numbers game may prove to be too much for the Lone Wolf and it seems like a logical booking decision. However, the match better be a brief affair.

Prediction: The Miz wins

Team SD: 2

Team Raw: 1

#5. The Shield vs. The New Day

<p>

One of the two dream matches on the card will see two of the greatest stables in the last decade put on a guaranteed classic. The six-man tag team match will be the first PPV match of the Hounds of Justice in over 3 years and a loss is the last thing the WWE would want.

New Day, on the other hand, has reached a phase in their careers as a unit that a loss doesn't hurt their popularity or momentum.That's the biggest reason why WWE have refrained from breaking up the stable regarded as the cash-cow of the promotion.

The Shield is going over in this one with no unforeseen twists (heel turns) expected to happen.

Prediction: The Shield wins

Team SD: 2

Team Raw: 2

#6. Traditional Elimination Survivor Series Match (Women's)

<p>

It would be a criminal mistake if WWE doesn't book Asuka as the Lone Survivor in the classic Survivor Series bout.

WWE needs to strike when the iron is steaming hot and we're sure they will make the right decision by giving team Raw the win and also have the longest reigning NXT Women's Champion as the last woman standing.

But there are various other interesting subplots that could influence the match. A potential heel turn from either Sasha Banks or Bayley and the possible return of Paige are scenarios that have been doing the rounds in the rumour mill.

Prediction: Team Raw wins with Asuka as the sole survivor

Team SD: 2

Team Raw: 3

#7. AJ Styles vs. Brock Lesnar

<p>

The Phenomenal One vs.The Beast Incarnate could be credited for all the good hype leading up to the PPV.

WWE wasted no time in pulling the trigger on the once-in-a-lifetime dream match and despite no proper storyline in place, the fans are waiting to witness these icons go at it with baited breath.

Lesnar and Styles have distinct styles that blend well together, increasing the chances of a high-quality bout between the two. The outcome of it, however, will be in the Universal Champion's favour as WWE has no plans on slowing down with their Lesnar project.

If Strowman and Joe couldn't get the job done, the Phenomenal One doesn't stand a chance. Expect Jinder Mahal to interfere and help the WWE Champion look string in defeat.

Prediction: Brock Lesnar wins

Team SD: 2

Team Raw: 4

#8. Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match (Men's)

<p>

The possible showstopper of the evening will have a plethora of stars vying to gain bragging rights from their respective brand. Kurt Angle's job as RAWG GM is on the line, which hints at RAW coming out victorious.

Randy Orton's streak of being the sole survivor in every match he's been a part of may come to an end as I personally feel Finn Balor will be given the lucrative spot.

The reason being the Balor vs. Lesnar programme that is rumoured to follow Survivor Series. The bottom line is that Angle and his men in red will stamp their authority, something that is also backed by reports from the Wrestling Observer and the latest betting odds.

Watch out for Kane, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn crashing the party and making their presence felt.

Prediction: Team Raw wins

Team SD: 2

Team Raw: 5
