WWE: The Shield teases reunion during closing moments of Raw

The Hounds
The Hounds Of Justice look ready to reunite

What's the story

Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns seemed to be on different paths but then The Bar and The Miztourage started getting in their way. During the closing moments of Raw, the OG Shield members teased their reunion.

In case you didn't know

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose reunited before SummerSlam and went to the Biggest Party Of The Summer in order to take the Raw Tag Team Championships from Sheamus and Cesaro. The Bar wasn't happy about this and their rivalry continued.

After Braun Strowman destroyed Seth Rollins this week on Raw, The Bar entered the ring to clean up with a Neutralizer and a Brogue Kick. Dean Ambrose ran down for the save but met the same fate as Rollins.

Roman Reigns was assaulted after his Intercontinental Title match against The Miz. The Bar assisted the A-Lister in a Shield-inspired Triple Powerbomb on Reigns compete with a three-way fist bump over a battered Big Dog.

The heart of the matter

During the closing moments of Raw, the camera showed Roman Reigns backstage. He was holding his ribs and looking injured. Reigns looked up to find his old Shield brethren Dean Ambrose standing there. Suddenly Seth Rollins appeared as well.

The three former members of The Shield shared a few moments together before Rollins and Ambrose broke away to leave The Big Dog standing alone once more.

It was an intense moment and you could tell they were a hair away from executing a three-way Shield fist bump right there in the locker room.

What's next

A Shield reunion seems to be on its way. With The Miz and The Bar standing against Rollins, Ambrose, and Reigns this match could be a highlight of any pay-per-view not to mention TLC. It will probably only be a matter of time before The Shield makes a full return.

Author's take

It's been a long time since fans saw The Shield perform in the ring on the same side. They've had moments when 2/3 of Their Shield might reunite but nothing has been made official.

But with The Miz doing his thing by lifting so many Shield mannerisms and moves from The Hounds Of Justice's handbook, it'll only be a matter of time before fans will believe in The Shield once again.

Let's hope they find the time to cut an old-school Shield promo that will complete with Dean Ambrose holding a shaky handicam.
