It is safe to say that The Empress of Tomorrow has failed to carry forward her momentum from last year to this one. Boasting of a winning streak of over 500 matches, Asuka's dream run came to screeching halt at Wrestlemania 34 when she lost to Charlotte Flair.

While, the other two participants in the match, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are engaged in one of the most engaging stories in the WWE right now, Asuka is a wild card in the match.
Both Becky and Charlotte have a beef with the RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey and might be involved in a program with her leading up to Wrestlemania.
Having Asuka win at TLC will help spring the Japanese Superstar back into relevancy and will also freshen up the SmackDown Women's division which has been dominated by Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair as of late.
