5 Biggest shocks that could happen at WWE TLC

TLC, the final PPV of 2018 for WWE, may not have two of the biggest names in the WWE, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, but it is a card that is packed with exciting matches, which will set up and continue incredible feuds in 2019, as we begin the road to WrestleMania.

The SmackDown and RAW women's titles are on the line, as well as the Intercontinental championship, Cruiserweight championship, and the WWE Championship.

Becky Lynch's battle with Charlotte Flair will continue at TLC, this time with the addition of Asuka to the mix as the three SmackDown Superstars face off in a triple threat match for the SmackDown Women's championship. AJ Styles will get a shot at the WWE Championship when he faces off against Daniel Bryan, while Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins' feud for the Intercontinental Championship continues.

Braun Strowman will get to lay his hands on Baron Corbin in a match where he could finalise a match with Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble if he wins the match against Corbin, while a victory for Corbin will see him become the permanent RAW GM.

We've seen a lot of surprises over the last two months on WWE; what does TLC have in store for us? Let's take a look at 5 biggest shocks that could happen at TLC.

#5 Lars Sullivan debuts

Lars Sullivan
Lars Sullivan

It seems that WWE have high hopes for Lars Sullivan, considering that he's been featured prominently in vignettes these past few weeks on RAW and SmackDown. The NXT Superstar is set to be called up to the main roster, but we aren't quite sure if he'll go to RAW or SmackDown.

Sullivan has the looks and character that ticks all the boxes when it comes to the kind of Superstar that Vince McMahon wants, and he will be pushed to the top quickly on the main roster.

He could make a great impact if he makes his debut at TLC, possibly brutalising a Superstar following his match, and sending a message to the WWE locker room. I have a feeling he will be moved to RAW as it is the brand that is suffering more due to a spate of injuries and lack of interesting storylines.

#4 Bray Wyatt to return

Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt fans have been waiting with bated breath to see The Eater of Worlds return to the ring following the breakup of his tag team with Matt Hardy. Wyatt, who once held the WWE Championship and was one of the most exciting characters on WWE, has fallen by the wayside, due to some poor storylines (which includes the Sister Abigail gimmick).

Following Matt Hardy's hiatus to recover from his injury, Wyatt was also pulled out of RAW, as he was left with no real storyline. But, the former leader of the Wyatt Family is back on live shows, including at Starrcade, where he answered Baron Corbin's open challenge, much to the surprise and delight of the audience.

Wyatt could maybe return at TLC, even as an opponent of Corbin as there have been some reports that Braun Strowman may not be able as he may have not fully recovered from his surgery.

Could we maybe see the Wyatt Family reunited?

#3 Stephanie McMahon fires Baron Corbin

Could Stephanie McMahon fire Corbin at TLC?

Baron Corbin has been a constant fixture on RAW ever since he became the acting GM on Monday nights. Corbin has been a great heel GM, in my opinion, but I think his reign will end on Sunday, either after being defeated by Braun Strowman, or Stephanie McMahon firing him.

RAW's ratings and viewership has slumped over the last month or so, with a new low set this past week, and the dip in viewership was also incorporated in a storyline as Seth Rollins spoke about how WWE's ratings dip, laying the blame squarely on Baron Corbin and said Monday Night RAW has "sucked".

We could maybe see Stephanie McMahon - who made Corbin acting GM - fired him at TLC if he interferes in a match, or replaces Braun Strowman with a jobber if The Monster Among Men is not fit to wrestle.

#2 Brock Lesnar destroys Braun Strowman

... But if Strowman is fit and ready to wrestle at TLC, following his surgery, it is quite certain that he will defeat Baron Corbin. The Stipulation enforced by Stephanie McMahon is that if Strowman wins his match against Corbin, he will get a shot at the Universal title and Brock Lesnar at next month's Royal Rumble.

Recent reports suggest that Lesnar is on short-term deals with the WWE - as has been the case over the last two years or so, and the former UFC Heavyweight champion will probably only feature in big PPVs like Royal Rumble or WrestleMania.

Following Strowman's victory against Corbin, could we maybe see Lesnar appear and assault Strowman, and maybe attack the injured elbow that Strowman has had surgery on? It would make great sense storyline-wise, and perhaps get the crowd to turn on Lesnar and boo him, which also works in Strowman's favour when he finally becomes Universal champion.

#1 Charlotte and Becky team up to put Asuka out of commission

Could one of these women walk away as the champ?
Could one of these women walk away as the champ?

One of the most eagerly awaited matches at TLC is the triple threat match for the SmackDown women's championship between Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Charlotte Flair. Charlotte and Becky had a great match at Evolution, and following Lynch's busted face at the hands of Nia Jax before Survivor Series, the SmackDown women's champion's stock has risen exponentially.

Charlotte's heel turn at Survivor Series after her assault on Ronda Rousey has made matters interesting in SmackDown, as the top two women on the show are ruthless renegades who will fight till the last.

With Asuka in the mix, we are assured of a great match at TLC, but could we also see Charlotte and Becky, former friends, team up to put Asuka out of commission at the start of the match so that they will have one less person to deal with?

That's a huge possibility considering what a great talent Asuka is, as well as how dangerous the former NXT Women's champion is.
