WWE Top 5 Rumours of the Week and Analysis: June 7, 2015

It’s been a long week for the WWE Universe. Elimination Chamber ended up being one of the best pay-per-views of the year and most of the fans are still recovering from its hangover. However, thanks to the tight schedule that WWE is running, we are going to see another pay-per-view in just a matter of days.

Money in the Bank, however, was not the biggest talking point in the rumour mill. Instead, the internet was more interested in what WWE has in plans for SummerSlam and WrestleMania 32. These were the major sources of this week’s rumours and here is a look at the top ones and their analysis.

Celebrity match at SummerSlam

Celebrity match for Summerslam?

A few weeks back, WWE teased a confrontation between Stardust and Arrow star Stephen Amell. Although it ended up being like a one-time affair, there is more to this than what meets the eye. WWE is planning to pull off a match between Amell and Stardust at SummerSlam.

It has a lot of potential considering the fan following that Amell has now and at the same time, it could help to give Stardust a big boost. There is no confirmation on the match as for now. Even if WWE cannot get Amell into the ring, he will play a big role in the pay-per-view and it will involve Stardust as well.

Legendary Tag Team in WWE’s radar

Team 3D in WWE Radar

WWE is keen to sign up The Dudley Boys. The company feels that the veteran tag team would be a great addition to the division. They are planning to put them in a feud with Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. It would make sense considering the push that the Wyatt family has been getting.

Apart from the fact of boosting their Tag team division, WWE will be eager to keep the tag team away from the competition. The likes of TNA, Ring of Honor and Lucha Underground will be more than happy to sign up the Dudleys, making it a do or die moment for WWE. Time is running out for the superstars as well and if they are doing it, they need to do it now.

Roman Reigns favourite to win Money in the Bank

A repeat of Royal Rumble?

Without many surprises, Roman Reigns is the favorite to win the Money in the Bank briefcase. WWE is still pretty much high on Reigns being a top dog in the company and letting him win the Money in the Bank ladder match is WWE’s first step of doing so. WWE does have some other options on the cards like Randy Orton and Neville, but as things stand now, Reigns is the chosen one.

There is a sense of fear within the WWE about what happened at Royal Rumble. And they will be doing everything in their power to avoid a similar situation. When it comes to the heel turn of Reigns, it is not happening anytime soon.

Reason for Kevin Owens’ push in main roster

Sami Zayn’s injury proved to be a blessing for Owens

Kevin Owens has been in the headlines ever since he answered John Cena’s open challenge and the push he is getting was actually saved for Sami Zayn. Zayn was supposed to be the first NXT superstar to break out into the main roster, but his injury proved to be a big hurdle. Zayn’s injury, however, proved to be a blessing for Owens, whose push happened earlier than planned.

The next superstar in line is Finn Balor and he is expected to win the NXT Championship from Owens in Japan. There were some talks about Samoa Joe being the new NXT champion, but those plans have changed as WWE felt it would be fitting to give Finn the title.

WrestleMania 32 to be the biggest WrestleMania ever

Biggest WrestleMania ever

According to the rumours, WrestleMania 32 is the show to watch. WWE is going all guns blazing for the event and they have some mouthwatering matches in places for the granddaddy of them all. Last week WWE teased a match between Steve Austin and Brock Lesnar at the show and there is a big chance of the match happening.

Along with this, there are possibilities of seeing The Rock vs. Triple H, Sting vs. Undertaker, A Triple Threat between the shield members for the WWE World heavyweight Championship, Stephanie McMahon vs. Ronda Rousey and also a Hulk Hogan match. Now, that is what you call a match card.
