#2 Brock Lesnar was supposed to face Shane McMahon
The Brock Lesnar – Goldberg storyline is what the fans are talking about now and with both men expected to make their return at the Royal Rumble, WWE could go ahead and set up a match for WrestleMania 33 between these two. While this is the biggest possibility at this point, WWE had other plans for Lesnar before Goldberg came in.
Rumours reported by Inquisitr .com suggest that Shane McMahon was the first choice to face Lesnar at WrestleMania and the angle that WWE had at SummerSlam was part of a buildup. With Shane’s ability to pull off excellent bumps, a match up with the dominating Lesnar would’ve been a treat, but for now we might have to settle for Goldberg.
