WWE WrestleMania 34 match card predictions

The Grandaddy of em all!
The Grandaddy of em all!

The road to the biggest wrestling show of the year is in full swing. Matches are starting to come together and rumors are beginning to swirl. Guys like Shinsuke Nakamura and Roman Reigns already have matches set for the big show. However, there are many guys who do not have a paved road yet.

There is only one official match set for the show at the time of writing this; in saying that, the match could still be tweaked as you will see later on. It is one of the best times to be a wrestling fan and it is the most exciting time of the year. Let's get started with some predictions.

Pre-Show: RAW Tag Team Championships - The Bar vs The Revival

Forever The Revival
Forever The Revival.

With around fifteen matches on the show, at least four will have to be pushed to the preshow. That included the Raw Tag Team Championships. Dash and Dawson are one of the only teams left that haven't feuded with the Bar. The match and overall feud could be quite entertaining; these four men could put on a great match to get the show started in New Orleans.

The Bar would in all likelihood win the match to keep the feud going for a few more months. The Revival could eventually take the torch as the top team on RAW. All in all, the feud won't get much attention, but the match will be damn good.

Cruiserweight Championship Tournament Final: Cedric Alexander vs Drew Gulak

The Championship
The Cruiserweight Championship will finally have a title holder come WrestleMania.

The tournament that is currently taking place on 205 Live as a result of the Enzo Amore firing will end at Mania. Cedric and Gulak make the most sense because of the way the bracket is set up: Gulak was Amore's lackey during his title run; Cedric has been at the heart of the division since its inception. These two men will most likely clash on the pre-show of WrestleMania 34.

The two cruiserweight superstars can put on a decent match for the early crowd. The crowning of Alexander will be the only part of this that will feel WrestleMania worthy. Cedric should have been champion a long time ago and there is no time better than the near future.

Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt

A Final Deletion
A Final Deletion will take place at WrestleMania 34.

These two have been feuding for a while in 'The Great War' and the rivalry has had its ups and downs, and the end of it will take place at WrestleMania in Final Deletion. Having that style will allow the match to be on the pre-show. The crowd can still fill up while the match plays on the monitors from the Hardy compound.

The match would have to be an improvement over the widely panned House of Horrors match. Hardy would win the match continuing the trend of Wyatt losing in big-time pay-per-view matches. Hopefully, the match can be as entertaining as Broken Matt Hardy in Impact Wrestling.

SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Usos vs. The Bludgeon Brothers vs. New Day vs. Rusev Day

Lock down!
The Usos have the tag team division on lockdown!

The Usos are running out of guys to face in the Smackdown tag team division so the time to raise it to a multiple team match has come. The Bludgeon Brothers and the Usos have had some great action against each other in the past, although the two teams have yet to face since the gimmick change. Throwing in New Day and Rusev Day will be WWE's way of getting more guys on the card while still being able to reuse the men later for the Andre the Giant battle royal.

The match will be perfect to send the show into the main card. The action will be non-stop between four very talented and entertaining teams. The Bludgeon Brothers will come out with the win pinning one of the two teams not named the Usos. This way the two teams could launch a feud post-Mania.

Main Show: Sasha Banks vs. Bayley

The Boss and The Hugger
The Boss and The Hugger.

These two have been on a path to feuding with one another for a long time on the main roster. Sasha has been teasing a heel turn since the Royal Rumble; the friction intensified at the Elimination Chamber and on the Raw after, Bayley showed that she was growing tired of Banks's actions. At 'Mania, these two will open the show and get the crowd going right off the bat.

With Sasha kicking off her heel run, she will defeat Bayley here. The only other direction these two could go is to be involved in the Raw Women's Championship match, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards. This match has all the potential to steal the show, just like it did in Brooklyn a few years ago.

Andre the Giant and Fabulous Moolah Battle Royal(s)

The trophy
The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy.

These two battle royals will take place on the main show because WWE is looking to make a bigger deal out of the Andre version thanks to the HBO special. The other is for the women and it is of course the first ever of its kind, so it will be touted as another groundbreaking moment for women's wrestling. All the under-card and mid-card talent will be present for the two matches to get everyone on to the show.

As for the winners, there are many options. For the women's, the winner will probably be Becky Lynch, who is the woman with the most star power without her own 'Mania match. For the men, Dolph Ziggler will pull out the win. He seems to be on the cusp of a major main event push and the win here would cement a top status. The men's battle royal may also feature guys such as Randy Orton and Bobby Roode.

Intercontinental Championship: The Miz vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins

Miz in the middle.
These three men will collide for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania.

The Intercontinental Championship scene is hot right now; currently, the top contenders are Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, arguably two of the best faces on Raw with neither man seeming to have much else going on as far as WrestleMania is concerned. This match is already heavily rumored to take place and it makes a lot of sense.

The Miz will have the potential to become the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time, but he won't retain his title against these two top stars. At this point, it seems like Balor is the best candidate to win the match; he could use the push most of all three superstars. The Miz can still use the excuse of the triple threat and force an inevitable rematch, while Rollins could move onto bigger things, such as a highly anticipated heel turn.

Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle vs. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon

Down goes the game
Down goes The Game.

This match has been in the works for years ever since Ronda tossed Triple H down at WrestleMania 31 and threatened to break Stephanie McMahon's arm. At Survivor Series, the Kurt Angle part of the story began to come together after The Game attacked him in their match. Triple H and Angle have had friction since Kurt's return as Raw General Manager. Rousey and McMahon have also shared a ton of friction in the short time Ronda has been with the company.

This is the perfect match to ease Rousey into the professional wrestling world; Angle and Triple H can carry the workload for the match while McMahon can also help to make Ronda look good. Rousey and Angle will obviously win the match and Ronda can be sent into stardom.

RAW Women's Championship: Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax

Jax vs The Goddess
The Unstoppable Force vs The Goddess.

This match has seemingly been in the cards for months as Bliss and Jax look to be on a collision course. These women have been connected at the hip since the beginning of Alexa's championship run on Raw. It is currently a heel vs. heel situation at the moment, but with the reaction that Jax gets, that could change by the time WrestleMania comes.

Jax will defeat her former best friend here to signal a change in the Raw women's division. Bliss has been on top for almost a year and it is long overdue for a change.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

Fight Forever
This match is sure to earn "fight forever" chants.

These two will go at it until the end of time, and that trend will continue at this year's 'Mania as one of these guys is bound to turn on the other. These two are magic in the ring and you can really feel the tension when they do promos together. It makes a lot of sense for WWE to pair them up for another showdown on the grandest stage of them all.

Seeds have been planted since before the Royal Rumble that these two are going to turn on each other. While these top superstars should be in the world title picture, that isn't the case, so they get to face one another and potentially steal the show. Owens will get the win here to push him back in the World Championship scene, while Zayn can move on to feud with Roode for the United States title.

SmackDown Women's Championship: Charlotte vs. Asuka

woooooooooo
Charlotte vs. Asuka - wooooooo!

The Queen vs. The Empress of Tomorrow in a title vs. streak match could be an epic battle. These two will put on a phenomenal show for the New Orleans crowd. All that is left to make this match happen is for Charlotte to retain at Fastlane against Ruby Riott. Asuka can then use her Royal Rumble victory to make the jump to Smackdown Live.

They have never met in the ring and no time is better than the biggest stage for these top superstars. Charlotte can also turn heel during the build-up to the match. It will be the perfect rivalry and the crowd will be overwhelmingly behind The Empress of Tomorrow. Asuka will win to keep the streak alive and win her first main roster championship.

The Undertaker vs. John Cena

The Challenge
John Cena made the challenge. Will the Deadman accept?

The challenge has been laid out by John, the battle lines have been drawn, and now all we need is a response. Undertaker may be getting older in age, but he can still go int he ring if he has the right opponent. Cena is perfect as he has stepped his work up to new heights over the past few years. They have never matched up at any of the 'Big Four' pay-per-views, so this match will have an epic build-up of sorts.

The match will be a loser retires match and of course the Undertaker will do the job one final time and lose clean to Cena. Finally, we can get an official ending unlike last year.

WWE Championship: AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Styles v. Shinsuke
AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura.

Of all the matches most likely to steal the show, this is the number one pick. No one would have imagined this match would ever take place on Vince's biggest stage a couple of years ago, and to think it is for the richest prize in WWE history. Nakamura earned his way into this match by winning the men's Royal Rumble, so if Styles retains his championship at Fastlane, the match will be official.

These two will put on a classic and hopefully they will be given a solid twenty minutes. Nakamura will win the match and finally reach the top of WWE's mountain, and Styles can go on to be the face that runs Raw. Meanwhile, Nakamura can help carry Smackdown Live back to its best days.

Universal Championship Triple Threat: Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman

Imagine Roman
A surprise opponent will interject himself into this match.

This match is currently set to be Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns part two. However, fans know that cannot happen again. Meanwhile, Braun Strowman is the hottest wrestler on the Raw roster today and he needs a spot in a big match. Strowman could add some unpredictability to this match because at this point, it is obvious we will get another Reigns title coronation. Lesnar against Roman may not have the same intriguing elements as the first did.

The fans have turned on Lesnar and a majority still aren't with Reigns either. Strowman being added to the match gives the main event some much needed interest. Fans will want to see Strowman conquer The Beast Incarnate and The Big Dog. With Strowman's addition, the outcome won't be so predictable and the overall match quality rises.
