WWE WrestleMania 35: 3 reasons why Brock Lesnar will retain the Universal Championship at the PPV

The only reason Brock Lesnar is still the Universal Champion is that he is a huge draw. Lesnar is a legitimate beast who could kill anybody with his bare hands. Lesnar is a money maker. In fact, in his first 5 UFC PPV’s, he headlined 3. He was the highest paid UFC fighter of 2010 and ESPN ranked him in the top 30 highest paid athletes. So it’s clear that the guy is money.

Whether we love him or hate him, he’s bringing prestige to the Universal Championship. Remember the old days when Hogan and Warrior or Savage weren’t on TV with the title all the time? The good old days when it was a spectacle to see the champion defend his title, or to really even show up with it?

Lesnar is that champion, and I don’t care if he won’t be around every single week. Should he be at every single PPV? It would be a good idea for sure, but if he missed one pay-per-view, people would be more excited to see him destroy someone at the next pay-per-view.

If Brock Lesnar brings all that intrigue whenever he shows up, then why would Vince McMahon get rid of Lesnar anytime soon? If he wants Lesnar to stay in the WWE, then pleasing the Beast with a victory over Seth Rollins would be in the books. After all, that was the reason he retained his championship a year ago at WrestleMania 34 against Roman Reigns.
