Back when the ratings were falling in real life, Baron Corbin was made out to be the fall guy responsible for the decline in viewership. When the fact of the matter was that Corbin was a loyal soldier who was only doing what he was asked to do, on a weekly basis. I'm guessing that WWE wants to reward Corbin with a big win at WrestleMania, for taking the brunt of the immense heat.
Retiring Kurt Angle is a big feat and people will talk about it for a very long time. I'm assuming that Baron Corbin will be the man who will end up winning this monumental contest. It doesn't make sense for Angle to win his last match.
Baron Corbin stands on the precipice of being a top guy in WWE. A win would really cement his position at the top.
