WWE/ROH News: The Hardys confirm WWE talks

Matt Hardy confirms WWE talks

What's the story?

As part of promoting the ROH Supercard of Honor, Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy were recently interviewed by WSVN-TV. During the Interview, the brothers confirmed that they are in talks with WWE regarding a potential return.

In case you didn't know

The Young Bucks regained the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships by defeating the Hardys at ROH Supercard. The match drew some great response from the wrestling community and it seemed like a farewell match for the Hardys as the two teams embraced after the match.

Hardys had defeated Nick and Matt Jackson a few weeks back to capture the gold but now that the title is not with them, the rumours regarding a possible WWE return will grow stronger.

The heart of the matter

During the interview, Matt mentioned that he and Jeff had talks with Vince McMahon and Triple H. Unsurprisingly, Matt was in character throughout the interview, and below is what he said.

“We have spoken to ‘Meek Mahan’ and of course the man with Three H’s and everyone who is there who is important and of value.”

When questioned about the possibility of appearing at WrestleMania, Jeff mentioned that anything is possible.

“It’s pro wrestling, anything’s possible.”

Matt and Jeff also talked about wanting to delete Roman Reigns, Usos, and The Club.

What's next?

Now that the Hardys are no longer the Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions, a potential WWE return could be easier. As far as a possible WrestleMania appearance is concerned, The Hardys are scheduled for a tailgate party on the WrestleMania day in Orlando, Florida and interestingly, the party ends at 6 PM.

Author's take

In a recent interview, Jeff had noted that he’s not signing with WWE. What Matt revealed during the interview with WSVN-TV completely contradicts Jeff’s statement. The Hardys are keeping us confused for the time being and since they are no longer restricted by the Ring of Honor Tag team championships, a return at WrestleMania or the night after it might materialise.
