Several ideas were discussed for the Night of Champion's main event finish, one of them being Rollins trying to cash in & as we saw, they went with that plan. WWE went with Rollins hitting Cena with his MITB briefcase, causing the DQ & essentially destroying Cena's chance at redemption for his defeat at SummerSlam, in an attempt to help build Rollins as the top heel in the company. WWE officials are in a hurry to build new stars as most of their current top stars are injured or have left and they felt that was the best course of action as they build to the big plans that they have for Rollins as a heel.
