Making the rounds across social media is the news of another Liverpool legend, John Arne Riise hanging his boots following the footsteps of Daniel Agger. The Norwegian most recently played for the club where his career started, Aalesund and is his country's most-capped player. There has been plenty of activity in the transfer window too, as Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG and Barcelona are all looking to bring in world class talent.

Here are the transfer news and rumours for June 13th.


Serie A

Roma have identified Georginio Wijnaldum as a replacement for Miralem Pjanic

- AS Roma’s Miralem Pjanic was officially in Turin for a medical earlier today, revealed on Juventus’ official twitter account. The 26-year-old was on Chelsea’s radar too, but Juventus snapped the midfielder up after meeting a £30million clause in his contract. The deal is set to be officially announced in the next 24 hours.

- Inter Milan are keen to bring in Sassuolo's Domenico Berardi, reported by Corriere dello Sport. Earlier reports had suggested Juventus as being the clear favourites to sign Berardi with the possible motive to off-load him elsewhere, but Inter are looking to hijack the move.

- AS Roma are preparing a move for Newcastle’s Georginio Wijnaldum, the Express on Sunday reports. The Italian club are looking for a replacement for Miralem Pjanic and have identified the Netherlands international as the man to fill in his shoes. Wijnaldum has been heavily tipped to leave the Magpies after they were unable to survive the relegation drop.

Diafra Sakho wants to leave West Ham this summer

- Manchester United are preparing to submit a bid of £79million for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Veratti, according to Corriere dello Sport. The 23-year-old has been instrumental in PSG’s recent success and has helped the club to four league titles in four years. The Red Devils are even ready to offer the player £6.7million-a-season in wages.

- Liverpool have made a £9.5million offer for Udinese’s midfielder Piotr Zielinski, reported by the Guardian. The player is also being chased by Napoli, who earlier offered £8.7million plus add-ons. Napoli. The Reds have also announced the announced the signing of defender Tom Brewitt on a new, long-term deal. The 19-year-old centre-back was out of contract this summer but has agreed terms over an extension.

- West Ham’s Diafra Sakho has asked Slaven Bilic to sell him this summer, according to Sky Sports. The Senegalese wants to leave the club in search of regular first team football. West Ham are already eyeing a world class striker but have seen moves for Alexandre Lacazette and Carlos Bacca turned down. Sunderland were reported to be interested in Sakho last month.

- Chelsea are preparing to bring in Napoli’s center-back Kalido Koulibaly with a bid of £24million, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. New manager Antonio Conte is working to rebuild a squad that finished 10th this season and is looking to bring in a world-class centre-back.

Barcelona are planning a €30million for Samuel Umtiti

- Barcelona have reportedly agreed terms with Palmeiras striker Gabriel Jesus, according to Mundo Deportivo. The forward was named the best newcomer in the Brazilian Serie A, and the Catalan giants are reportedly set to bring in the 19-year-old for €24 million.

- Sevilla have confirmed that Jorge Sampaoli will replace Unai Emery as the club’s manager. According to Sky Sports, Sevilla are set to offer a two-year contract to the ex-Chile coach. Unai Emery, who lead the club to three consecutive Europa League titles, is being tipped to become PSG’s manager this summer. An official statement on Sevilla’s website read: "Sevilla FC have received official notice from Unai Emery's lawyers that his intention is to proceed the unilateral termination of his contract with Sevilla FC.

"This is due to his desire to no longer work as the first-team coach for the 2016-17 season.”

- According to French site LeDauphine.com, Lyon’s defender Samuel Umtiti has already signed a deal with Barcelona and is only ironing out the final details before his move, which will cost the Catalan club €30million. The centre-back has also been on the radar of Roma, Arsenal and Chelsea.

- Arjen Robben has spoken about his future at Bayern Munich as he enters the final year of his contract with the Bavarian giants. "I appreciate any interest from other clubs. But right now that does not play a role," Robben told German media outlet Kicker. "I don't give thought to a new contract right now. I want to get fit again, and stay healthy after that. That's my biggest wish right now. I want to be able to enjoy my football again. That's it."
- Reading have confirmed the appointment of Jaap Stam as their new manager. Stam agreed a deal with Reading on Friday and Andries Uldrink and Said Bakkati, who worked with Stam at Ajax’s reserve side are expected to be part of his backroom staff. The former Manchester United defender is a free agent after leaving the Amsterdam club this month.

- Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani could leave the club to join Arsenal, as Arsene Wenger wants to bring in the Uruguayan should a move for Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy fall through, according to the Daily Express. The Uruguay international is reported to have rejected a £500,000-a-week offer from China in favour of a move to the Premier League.

- Manchester City have reportedly signed Leroy Sane, and will announce the deal after the Euros according to Spanish news outlet Sport. The Catalan newspaper has a history of getting transfers correct with relation to Pep Guardiola, and the former Bayern Munich manager is a known admirer of the Schalke wonderkid, and is prepared to pay a big fee for Sane's signing.
