5 reasons why Brock Lesnar should leave WWE

WWE might be building up a lot of storylines ahead of WrestleMania but the biggest headline grabber after the pay-per-view will be the reigning WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. His future in the company has been the topic of some heated debates in recent times and all of the buzz will reach sky high once WrestleMania is wrapped up. Every wrestling fan out there would love to see Lesnar hang around in the WWE rather than jumping ships to UFC but the best for business thing will be Lesnar leaving the company. There are certain reasons why Lesnars departure would be a good deal for Vince McMahon and here is a look at those reasons.

#5 The financial crisis

WWE is the biggest Wrestling promotion in the world, period. This statement however doesn’t mean that Vince McMahon is taking a dip in Money filled swimming pool like that Disney duck character.

The company is going through a rough phase at the moment and a lot of their financial crisis is due to the WWE network. Giving away Pay-Per-views on the Network has considerably reduced the income for company and forced them to cut down the roster.

Lesnar has been bagging fat checks for his stay and that too for minimal appearances (we’ll get to that). It would be a big financial relief for the company if they unload Lesnar and since he is not someone who changes the pay-per-view buy rates, the decision should be made without any hesitation.

#4 His light Schedule

Lesnar bags in fat checks and does not show up properly to back up the money spent on him. He was one of the biggest headline grabbers of 2014 and to get the stats clear, he just had three proper matches.

The first one came against Undertaker at WrestleMania when the destruction of John Cena at SummerSlam proved to be second. The rematch with Cena at Night of Champions was the third and though he did have a bout with Big Show at Royal Rumble, it was never a proper match.

So we have a champion who wrestled only three times last year. There are a lot of workers out there who deserve to headline pay-per-views in place of someone who comes around just for the big occasions.

#3 There is nothing more for Lesnar in WWE

Lesnar headlined WrestleMania, won the Royal Rumble, won the WWE Championship, destroyed John Cena and above all ended the two decade long streak of Undertaker. What is left for Lesnar to achieve in the company?

He has done almost everything a wrestler could do in the WWE and beyond. There aren’t many names above Lesnar when it comes to achievements and the only thing left for Lesnar now is a Hall of Fame induction.

That Induction will not happen anytime soon and even if WWE decides to induct him, he need not be in the WWE for the same. Elsewhere, there are still a lot of things that Lesnar has to achieve in UFC which will keep him going forward rather than being complacent in WWE.

#2 He is not the biggest draw

Yes, Lesnar has achieved a lot in the WWE but still he is not considered to the levels of Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Rock or John Cena.

These four men are considered to be ‘the’ biggest draws in WWE on any day. Lesnar is pushed strongly at the moment but he will never be seen equal to the above mentioned names. However, if in UFC, Lesnar is considered as a top draw.

In short, he is a bigger draw for UFC than WWE and there are a lot of stats out there to prove the same. A lot of pay-per-views that featured his fights hit the one million mark and the scenario will be no different when he makes a return.

#1 A new Paul Heyman guy

The best part about Lesnar leaving WWE is the fans getting a new Paul Heyman guy. It would be hard for Heyman to manage anyone else as long as Lesnar is on the payroll. WWE did try having two Paul Heyman guys at one point but it did not work well for anyone.

Cesaro ended up being the scape goat in the situation although he came with some great amount of potential. The Lesnar leaving situation on the other hand would be an exciting prospect.

There are a lot of young talent like Seth Rollins, Roman Reings, and some guys down in NXT who could turn out to be great Paul Heyman guys. However, for them to step in, first Lesnar should make his way.
