5 WWE Attitude - PG era dream matches we would like to see

Kurt Angle and Daniel Bryan both inspire the crowd in different ways.

Stone Cold and Mr. McMahon helped drive the Attitude EraIf you ask many wrestling fans, WWE’s Attitude Era was when pro wrestling was at its peak. The move to an edgier set of storylines effectively won the Monday Night War and brought wrestling fans some of our favorite characters. But what if we could bring those characters into the present and match them up with today’s superstars? Here are a few ideal matches if we could do just that.

#5 Angle-Bryan

Kurt Angle and Daniel Bryan both inspire the crowd in different ways.

While this match might lack in storyline potential, it more than makes up for that with in-ring potential.

Kurt Angle and Daniel Bryan are both incredibly skilled, and they also both draw crowd reactions, for better or worse. It’s not hard to picture the set-up, with Bryan in the ring attempting to inspire the masses and Angle coming out to tell his own story.

For some reason, this seems ideal for a lengthy bout with the Intercontinental title on the line, and it would have to end with a submission. Nothing else would fit.

#4 The Rock-Owens

Two different styles, but one potentially great match between The Rock and Kevin Owens.

Promos and overall mic skills play a role in many of these selections, including this one. The Rock would certainly have plenty to say about Kevin Owens’ appearance and physique, but Owens would be sure to find a way to mock the Brahma Bull right back.

In the ring, both of these guys know how to “Just Bring It,” so the crowd would surely get fired up for this one. The Rock would sell Owens’ impressive move set like a pro, and KO would show his talent for subtle heel tactics

#3 Austin-Wyatt

Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bray Wyatt both know how to get the crowd involved.

For obvious reasons, WWE creative chose to have Bray Wyatt fight a match against Undertaker that would fit the bill for this list. But Stone Cold is an even better choice as a dream opponent for “The Eater of Worlds.

“You claim to be a rattlesnake, man, but you have no venom. Where are your fangs? I am the only monster to be feared here..." Can you imagine the Austin’ reaction to Wyatt’s antics? Better yet, can you imagine the brawl these two would deliver once the mic work was over?

#2 Foley-Ambrose

Mick Foley and Dean Ambrose aren't known to avoid violence.

Clearly, this match has to have some extreme rules involved. Mick Foley and Dean Ambrose are each known by a variety of names around the wrestling world, and both have taken a fair share of punishment, some of which WWE couldn't even show today.

Just turn these two unstable individuals loose in an arena, and watch them use whatever isn't bolted down to put on a show. Preferably, though, you'd want them to contain most of the action to the arena floor so the fans get plenty of chances to yell, “This is awesome!"

#1 HBK-Rollins

Shawn Michaels and Seth Rollins have drawn style comparisons.

There may not be a time limit long enough for Shawn Michaels and Seth Rollins, and many say Rollins is being groomed as a modern Michael.

These are two of the best showmen of their respective eras, and there's no doubt they'd give us some innovative, exciting action. Ideally, this one is a ladder match or some other variety that allows them to open up the toolbox and deliver some impressive spots.

And both men can tell a story as a heel or face, so there would be plenty of options on that front, as well.
