WWE Monday Night Raw Preview : 23 February, 2015

The inaugural edition of Fast Lane is in the archive now and the entire WWE universe will be looking forward to Monday Night Raw for the fall out. Though the pay-per-view did not live up to the hype due to certain reasons, the fans are invested in the road to WrestleMania for sure.Almost all the storylines that will run to WrestleMania is clear as day now and what the company needs to do now is give everything a proper buildup. There will be some fans backlash due to a couple of booking decisions at Fast Lane. The best way to silence the WWE Universe will be to give them something extraordinary on Monday. So here is a look at some of the dishes that WWE might serve on the latest edition of their flagship show.

#5 Super Cena, again

Cena lost his match against Rusev on Sunday but it happened in the usual way. Rusev had to use some cheap trick to defeat Cena and instead of tapping out, the Cenation leader just passed out.

Though the record books read that Rusev won against Cena, we all know that there are more stories to this than just the result. The fans will now be happy with how Cena is being treated by the company.

As far as the future is concerned, we might get to see a rematch between the two at WrestleMania. The seeds for the same should be sown at the earliest and Raw is a potential stage. The result of the match might work against Rusev from what we know about WWE but then again, at least he will be losing at the granddaddy of them all.

#4 The Vipers revenge

After delaying it for a long time, WWE finally decided to make Randy Orton’s return materialize at Fast Lane. The viper returned and confirmed his baby face turn by taking out the stooges of Authority and the man who took him out of action, Seth Rollins.

The rumored Orton – Rollins match looks set to be at the WrestleMania card as things stand now and the WWE creative team needs to make this one look more personal.

They have the proper backstory right now and building up on the same would be crucial. Orton has a lot of potential as a baby face and if the company clicks all the right buttons, we might get a great angle in the end.

#3 A win for the internet

Tyson Kidd and Cesaro won one for the Internet on Sunday. They defeated the Usos to become the new WWE tag team champions. The result was against expectations and the WWE fans will have no trouble rallying behind the new title holders.

WWE however has no time to take any breather. They need to decide the direction in which Cesaro and Kidd should go and chose proper opponents for them on the longer run.

From the looks of it, the first major title defense of the duo will come at WrestleMania and if that is the case, there are teams like Ascension, Prime Time Players, The Usos and maybe even the Lucha Dragons in the running for a shot. And of course, we could see a multi- team match as well.

#2 Brock knows his date

Though Roman Reigns won the Royal rumble, there was a lot of confusion on whether he would go on to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania or not. The reason for this was the WWE Universe and their demand to see Daniel Bryan in the mix.

However, now that Reigns laid out Bryan cleanly at Fast Lane, the date between Reigns and Lesnar is almost set in stone. Lesnar and Reigns did have a confrontation after Rumble about their match at WrestleMania and this time around, WWE could book a confrontation between them without much hesitation.

Paul Heyman will have something to say about the confirmed No.1 contender and it’s always good to hear Heyman speak isn’t it?

#1 Will the Phenom accept?

Bray Wyatt gave out a full-fledged challenge to the Undertaker at Fast Lane. The big question now is, will the Phenom accept? With no pay-per-view in between now and WrestleMania, if Undertaker has to accept, he needs to do it at some episode of Raw.

So we might actually see Taker make an appearance this week. The way in which Bray plotted the entire plan leaves Taker no room to run away from the challenge and the feud looks set to be a torch passing one.

There is a lot of significance on the Raw after Fast Lane. If WWE is hell bound in having a Taker vs. Bray Wyatt match at WrestleMania, they should let Taker appear this week so that they get enough time to tell a story.
