WWE Raw: November 17, 2014 - 5 Promising Developments

The Monday Night go home episode of Survivor Series brought several twists in the end that has turned the tables against the Authority and given John Cena the advantage.Although Dolph Ziggler lost his Intercontinental title to Luke Harper and the rest of Cena’s team-mates were taken out, Cena managed to convince Ryback to join his team against Triple H’s army and also got Erick Rowan as a bonus addition on his side.Here are the five promising developments from this week’s episode.

#1 Enter Rowan and Cesaro

When Luke Harper said that he was a team player, it still seemed that the entire Wyatt Family weren’t at odds but they had amicably in their own way given space to each other. That sounds silly, though.

Everyone expected Ryback to join Team Cena,which he eventually did. But nobody expected Rowan, who’s been having comic relief backstage moments, to be in the marquee event of oen of the biggest PPVs in the WWE and that too against someone from his own family.

Cesaro seemed to make his presence felt to even the odds for Team Cenabut he decided to give them a rude shock by joing Team Authority. Yet, the Swiss Superman is still considered important enough to be part of this huge match up.

#2 Harpermania

Luke Harper is the new Intercontinental Champion. Who saw that coming? Probably when the match began or in the middle of the match but a week ago, nobody really thought Harper was going to walk away as a Champion or become a champion even before Bray Wyatt does.

This gives rise to a new feud between The Show Off and Harper. It could be great id the Creative team handles it well. Harper does not possess the popularity of the likes of Ziggler but he sure is spectacular.

A returning Bad News Barrett will get a title shot for a title he never lost. A match between Haper and Barrett should be interesting.

#3 Ryback\'s Time

Ryback is in the midst of another push but this time it seems to be getting the desired results. He’s getting past the ‘Goldberg’ chants and he had the match of the night against Cesaro.

He was the superstar who both Team Cena and Team Authority vied for and he eventually and inevitably chose to be with Team Cena.But the build up for him to eventually show up means that Ryback won’t ride into oblivion this time around. he is sure someone to look out for.

#4 A New Day Awaits

So, there is going to be stable after all. It’s called New Day and it consists of Xavier Woods, Big E and Kofi Kingston. The videos each involving the three members has them singing and dancing a bit. If they’re another version of 3MB then it’s a problem and comic relief segments and jobber status will soon follow.

But if it has some aggression involved, then it might be really interesting to see what they’re upto every week.

#5 Triple H

It’s not everyday that Triple h gets credit for something that he does. But this Raw he was possibly on fire with the verbal sneak attacks and responses.

The night began with him making a WCW joke- “The last time we let the inmates run the asylum i think they were called WCW. You know that company we picked up at the auction”

And then, the final segment of the night had him laughing out loud sarcastically to John cena’s usual banters and doing the ‘blah blah blah’ hand gesture to Cena again.

And also, he got AA’d onto a table.The elation is for Triple H being put through a table and not for the AA.
