Sting’s WWE future is unsure at the moment

UndertakerThe rumor mill received a lot of topics to discuss after the conclusion of Night of Champions.WWE has intelligently sowed seeds for their next pay-per-view venture and everyone has started talking about the same. The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar match added to the card is already attracting eyeballs and the motives behind WWE’s booking ended up being a rumor last week.Elsewhere, there were also talks about the remaining match card of the pay-per-view along with the plans that they had for Sting and Dean Ambrose. A string of former superstars were also linked with WWE last week and as usual, we are going to compile all those rumors in one place and analyze them.

#5 Bad news for Sting fans

Sting’s WWE future is unsure at the moment

Sting was pretty banged up after his match at Night of Champions and according to the rumors; he has picked up a spinal injury. WWE was planning to have a program with him in the episode of Monday Night Raw after Night of Champions but as Sting was in no condition to do so, the plan was called off.

The chances of Sting making a return to the squared circle anytime soon are nil and the match he had with Rollins at NOC could be his last. Sting being unable to wrestle again would be a big blow for him and his fans as he didn’t get a proper farewell. Also, Sting is 0-2 in WWE.

#4 Former superstars and WWE

MVP was seen backstage at NOC

WWE was linked with a number of former superstars over the past seven days. MVP, who recently ended his association with TNA, was seen backstage for a WWE live event.

It is still unclear on whether WWE is interested in him but if he returns, the fans will welcome him with warm hands. Carlito is another superstar linked with WWE. The company wants to repackage Los Matadores and Carlito is apparently part of these plans.

Carlito, however, was only offered a cheap deal which was eventually rejected. Elsewhere, the status of Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio is still not revealed by Lucha Underground so read between the lines if you want.

#3 Hell in a Cell match card

Ryback is on the path to reclaimation

Hell in a Cell was shot to relevance when WWE added the match between Undertaker and Brock Lesnar.

Apart from this, WWE is looking to add some more matches to the card. The first from the lot is a match between Ryback and Kevin Owen for the Intercontinental Championship. Although Owens is miles away from the main event scene, he still has a lot of backers in the company and he is unlikely to drop the title at HIAC.

A Triple Threat between Paige, Charlotte, and Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship is also being planned along with a Tables match between Dudley Boys and New Day. There is a possibility of Seth Rollins vs. Kane being added to the card as well.

#2 WrestleMania plans for Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose and Jericho feud would be epic

Chris Jericho surprised everyone when he showed up at Night of Champions as the mystery partner of Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Jericho walked out abruptly after the match and according to the latest rumors; Jericho is all set to feud with Ambrose ahead of WrestleMania.

The Human Highlight reel is not booked for television shows till December as he will be busy touring with Fozzy. However, Jericho hasn’t made any commitments with Fozzy during the WrestleMania period which would in turn help WWE. Ambrose and Jericho going against each other in a singles feud would simply be awesome and hopefully these plans won’t change.

#1 Motives behind Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

Undertaker is back sooner than expected

The decision to book Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar for Hell in a Cell was apparently a last minute decision.

Vince McMahon was freaking out due to the fall in television ratings and wanted a big angle to boost the same. The bout will be the blow off of the feud and there won’t be another match between the two at WrestleMania 32.

Instead, WWE will be looking to put together a Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock match for WrestleMania. The WrestleMania plans for Undertaker is still not clear but if he ends up wrestling in the event, he is sure to get a top notch opponent.
