WWE Top 5 rumours of the week and analysis: 28 June, 2015

Daniel Bryan

Daniel BryanAmidst all those forgettable bookings and boring storylines of WWE, there are glimpses of hope in the internet called rumors. They may or may not be positive but then again, it makes a fan think deep about the situation (which is something WWE fails to do). Just like all those weeks that went by, this week also had its fair share of speculations.Huge face turns and surprise championship changes are in WWE’s plans if we go by the rumours. Choosing the suggested paths might be the best option in front of WWE as their fans are dying for a breath of fresh air. With that said, here is a look at the top rumors of this week and their analysis.

#5 Bryan\'s injury could end his career

Daniel Bryan

The severity of Daniel Bryan's injury is worse than initial reports. The flying goat is suffering from concussion-related injuries and it might force him to retire as well. Bryan had the problem earlier in 2015, but it poked up during the match he had with Sheamus after WrestleMania 31. WWE does not want the news to be on the internet because of the recent lawsuits.

The company is yet to release an official statement about the former World Champion. Bret Hart recently went out and said that Bryan's career might be over, which in turn made the fans more curious about the situation. No matter what the situation is, WWE should come out and say the truth, just for the purpose of killing all these wild rumours.

#4 Big twist in the Dudleys rumour saga

Team 3D

The rumour mill earlier speculated about Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley making a return to WWE. The Twitter exchanges they had with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan fueled the rumors, but it might not happen after all. Bubba was seen backstage in the latest TNA tapings and he is expected to sign a new deal with the company.

WWE will have no intentions of signing D-Von alone so there is that. These, however, are rumors so there is hope for all those fans out there who want to see The Dudleys make one last run in WWE. But this dream happening at SummerSlam is too much to wish for. As far as TNA is concerned, they are still in financial troubles but were rumored to be interested in Dolph Ziggler.

#3 WWE looking to sign Ring of Honor champion

Jay Lethal

WWE’s hobby of collecting independent superstar for NXT might see the addition of three more superstars. They are interested in signing up Jay Lethal, Adam Cole and Moose.

Jay Lethal recently won the Ring of Honor World Championship and is also the reigning Television champion in ROH. He was a mainstay in TNA as well. Adam Cole, on the other hand, has been in WWE’s radar for a long time. He has the skills and looks to make it big in the company and would be a big asset in the NXT roster.

The third name is Moose. He was offered a deal to be in this season’s Tough Enough by he turned it down. This, however, has not cooled WWE down and they are still in pursuit of him for an NXT deal.

#2 Huge Superstar set for face turn

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins has been the scapegoat of poor WWE booking. The Seth Rollins we loved put Dean Ambrose through cinder blocks, turned on the Shield and stole the show at Survivor Series. The Seth Rollins we now know is nothing more than a coward who hides behind the Authority.

The first one had all the potential to be the best heel in PG Era. But thanks to the inconsistent and lazy booking, we ended up with this. WWE, however, might be making up for that mistake by turning him face. There are rumors floating around about a possible face turn by Rollins at Battleground. The idea is to set up a feud between Rollins and the Authority while Lesnar will walk away with the title.

Turning face would be a fresh move for the Architect, who, despite having the talent is being wasted.

#1 Surprise champion at SummerSlam

Sheamus

Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns are those superstars who will not win the WWE Championship at SummerSlam. ‘Then who’ is a good question to ask at this moment. It might round ridiculous but WWE is having a thought about letting Sheamus become champion at the pay-per-view.

If the rumor turns out to be true, then Roman Reigns will be the one suffering. He is set to face Lesnar for the WWE championship at SummerSlam. Reigns could go on to win the title as well only to set up cash in by Sheamus. Reigns is expected to attract sympathy due to the same while Lesnar will take another break from the WWE till Survivor Series.
