WWE Top 5 rumours of the week and analysis: April 12, 2015

It is that part of the week again where we look back at the last seven days, pick the best rumors, and dissect them to see which one is the most exciting from the lot. The hangover of WrestleMania 31 is almost washed away and the WWE Universe is eagerly looking forward to the pay-per-view to come.Plans for SummerSlam main event and WrestleMania 32 have been in the rumor mills lately while Daniel Bryan making the WWE officials unhappy was another major rumor that came out last week. All these are going to have some huge impact on the WWE product and let’s take some time to dissect the reasons, aftereffects and possibilities of these speculations.

#5 New plans for WrestleMania 32

The plans of having Rock face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32 have taken a step backwards as the company is looking to pit the Brahma Bull against Triple H at the show. The two superstars locked horns at WrestleMania 31 in a segment to put over Ronda Rousey and the company is looking to build on just that.

Speaking about Rousey, she is expected to face Stephanie McMahon at the show. WWE is pretty much high on the UFC champion and wants her to play a big role at WrestleMania. The possibility of a tag team match between the four was discussed earlier, but it was soon scratched off in favor of two singles matches.

#4 Elimination Chamber might be used at Battleground pay-per-view

If you are one of the WWE Universe members who missed the Elimination Chamber gimmick match, then I got some good news for you. The WWE is trying to bring back the match at Battleground pay-per-view so that it would build up perfectly to SummerSlam.

The idea is to use Elimination Chamber for SummerSlam in the similar way that they use Royal Rumble for WrestleMania. A number one contender would be crowned after the match and this contender could then face the champion at SummerSlam. There is also a chance of the title getting defended in the structure but it is unlikely.

Roman Reigns is one of the favorite to win the match if it is a no.1 contenders bout as he deserves a go at Rollins in time of SummerSlam.

#3 WWE unhappy with Daniel Bryan

The fans might be happy about seeing Daniel Bryan feature regularly in the WWE programming with his Intercontinental Championship but the backstage officials have a different feeling. The reason for this is the injury that Bryan had. The flying goat was taken out of action for a few months due to the same and when he came back, Bryan was supposed to tone down his in-ring style.

Bryan, however, decided to stick to his same old hard hitting style and this has made the officials unhappy. They are concerned about his health and have all the right reasons to be. It was also one of the reasons why Bryan was taken away from the WWE championship scene and hopefully, Bryan would change the style in the near future.

#2 WWE planning to split the Bellas again

It’s hard to decide whether this is a good rumor or a bad rumor because, the last time WWE pulled it off, it had a lot of potential but bombed due to some forgettable booking decisions. I’m talking about the Bella’s splitting here and WWE is planning to pull the rabbit out once again.

There have been shades of a split between the two recently and Brie is most likely to be baby face once again. It might turn out to be a great angle with AJ Lee’s absence but then again, we know how things ended up last time. It will also take the likes of Paige and Naomi out from the divas title picture, which is never a good thing for the division.

#1 SummerSlam main event

With WrestleMania wrapped up, the next big pay-per-view that fans are looking forward to is SummerSlam. Though the event is still a few months away, WWE is plotting plans for the same and from the looks of it; the fans are not going to be disappointed.

As things stand now, WWE is looking for a triple threat match between Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns for WWE Championship as the SummerSlam main event. It would probably be Lesnar’s first match after WrestleMania and we could see Reigns win the Elimination Chamber match mentioned earlier.

The match is a sure shot ticket seller and if WWE manage to pull off the climax perfectly, then it has all the ammunition to be a match of the year.
