5 Ideas that WWE can implement after the brand split

Both RAW and SmackDown will have significance from now on

It's official now. The much awaited business decision was taken by the top level WWE management and the company has officially announced a brand split. SmackDown will go live from July 19th and this only means that we, the WWE fans, are lucky.

This landmark decision means a lot for the future and things will only get better from now on. There are a lot of expectations and speculations about what is in store for the future and no doubt we have a lot in store. Let us take a look at five things that should happen after the brand split.

1. Separate titles for the two brands

Bring this back?

The WWE roster today is filled with many talented guys. It all depends on how you utilize them. Also, there should be a reason for a fan to watch a show. How do you provide that? The answer to this question solves the problem.

Earlier, guys like Orton, Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus etc showed up on SD every week and made things interesting. SmackDown used to be the place for all WHC related storylines. WWE has lost this flexibility due to the unification of the Championships and that has become a big problem now. Bring separate titles back and that obviously brings back the glory of the show.

This is the right time to do it as the current roster looks richer in talent than ever before!

More women superstars on SmackDown

A new era in Women’s wrestling?

It has been loud and clear for any WWE fan that the RAW roster is flooded with many divas and the management has failed to engage them in interesting matches or make them relevant. Why not send some of them to SmackDown to possibly get the best out of them?

That would not only give the women superstars more opportunity but also give the audience a reason to watch their matches. I would even love it if the company plans of having matches/tournament between both brands once in a while.

Steph/Shane should take control of SmackDown

This is something we should be talking about!

Now that Vince McMahon has asked both Shane and Steph to run Monday Night RAW, I would assume one out of the two might be taking control of SmackDown. This will bring a great push to the show as the lack of able leadership has been one of the primary concerns for the failure of SmackDown in recent years.

It was Kane, the 'Director of Operations' who ran this show the last time and his reign was a huge failure. Why not have Shane or Steph run this show then? That would straight away make news as these two have been phenomenal since WrestleMania 32. It could also give us a Team Shane vs Team Stephanie showdown sometime in the future.

PPV matches between the brands

How badly do you want to see this again?

What better way can a PPV end than having a match between the superstars from either brands? Team RAW vs Team SmackDown! We have seen it before and we would love to see it again.

Competition is the only thing that could help this show regain its lost glory. When you have two brands and both have superstars that are ready to put anything on the line for brand supremacy, don't you think something phenomenal could happen?

The best out of everyone is brought out and opportunities start growing for the young guys.

Move the US/IC to one brand specifically

Each show should have a mid card title of its own

Top level competition is always interesting, no matter which two guys are in the race for the gold. The only area where people might feel a bit disinterested is the mid-card level competition.

The roster now is blessed with many talented superstars falling in the mid card range and WWE should learn to grab this opportunity in the best possible way. Bring one of the major titles – US/IC – to SmackDown, and build a perfect storyline before a PPV. The investment is small but you can be sure of huge results.
