5 WWE stars who need to turn heel next following WWE RAW

What was your reaction to Chad Gable
What was your reaction to Chad Gable's heel turn on RAW?

This past Monday on RAW, WWE fans witnessed multiple narrative shifts as longtime babyface stars Chad Gable and Liv Morgan cemented themselves as the two of the biggest heels on the red brand, after attacks on fan favorites Sami Zayn and Rhea Ripley.

Over the years heel turns have proven to be a big kickstarter for many performers who have long been stagnating as a babyface. The most recent example of this has been Drew McIntyre whose current heel persona has arguably seen him produce the best work of his career so far.

With many questions left unanswered after RAW this week we are going to take a look at 5 WWE stars who need to join the likes of Gable and Morgan and turn heel.

#3 - Time for Gargano and Ciampa to do it for themselves

Whilst Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa's initial months on the main roster were fairly lackluster, the pair have seemed to have found their feet in recent months since reforming their tag team DIY.

During their days in NXT, the duo would have great success teaming together as well as going out on their own as singles stars. They would also thrive at certain points as either baby faces or heels.

Speaking to The Wrestling Notebook in 2021, Johnny Gargano who had turned heel for the first time in WWE stated why it was needed for his character to survive.

"100% it was needed. There were only so many times you can see a white meat Johnny Gargano go out there and overcome the odds, get beat down, and put in an ambulance – I don’t know how many times you can watch that!"

Whilst they currently are performing as faces on RAW the duo may need to turn to elevate their game as they are struggling to connect with the fans as good guys.

This turn may come as next week when they face R Truth and The Miz for the World Tag Team Championships on RAW.

#2 - A Former WWE Women's Champion takes over Judgment Day

One star who has shown that a heel turn can raise your stock is Alexa Bliss, having worked as a heel for most of her career.

The former RAW and SmackDown Women's Champion has been absent from the ring since January 2023. Since then she has achieved many great things away from the business, most notably having her first child.

Having welcomed her child into the world, many fans are now hoping to welcome her back into World Wrestling Entertainment.

If she does indeed return soon, expect fans to cheer greatly for her given how long she has been away from the ring. However, in typical Bliss fashion do not be surprised if she immediately turns heel on her first night back by attacking a fan-favorite superstar.

Speaking to the Ottawa Sun, Bliss explained why she enjoys working as a heel in the WWE as opposed to a face.

"It's so much more fun getting people not to like you. You get to act ways you can't act in public. It's out of the box. It's out of your realm. You get to try things. I study a lot of people and their mannerisms. If I see somebody do something I don't like, I use that. I'm thinking if I don't like it, I'm sure somebody else doesn't like it either."

#1 - The Creed Brothers are ready and willing

Ahead of Chad Gable's heel turn last week in which he attacked the Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, many WWE fans were intrigued by the Olympian's pre-match workout which saw him training with Brutus and Julius, The Creed Brothers.

Like Gable, The Creeds come from an amateur wrestling background and could also do with a shift in persona given that fans have barely gotten to know them since the pair moved up to the main roster last year.

Following their match against Gable and his teammate Otis on RAW last year, The Creeds stated in a WWE Exclusive interview why they respect Gable and why he and Otis resonate with them.

"Those are guys that we watched compete in the sport of amateur wrestling growing up, so to share the ring with them tonight was special. The Raw audience has only known us a very short amount of time, but we’ve known Raw our entire lives."

Julius Creed sent many WWE fans into a frenzy after this week's RAW as he tweeted an old catchphrase of Gable's hinting at a potential heel turn and alignment with Chad.
