John Cena pushing WWE to back young talents, Chris Jericho asked to return?

John Cena vocal about pushing younger talents

It has been reported that John Cena has been very vocal about giving the younger talents in the roster more opportunities that they usually have been provided with. Cena recently has been involved in a series of feuds with former NXT champion Kevin Owens who has received a major push straightway since he debuted in the main roster.

However, recent reports have suggested that Owens may drop down to mid-card status after WWE decided to conclude his storyline with Cena. However, Cena wants WWE creative to push the young guns and give them the limelight so that they have a shot at proving themselves. But with Taker returning and rumours of even Sting being involved in the PPV, the focus has shifted to the veterans of the business and away from the current generation.

Regarding Chris Jericho’s status with the WWE, Y2J has been working a deal that sees him work only on live events. The former World champion has been hosting WWE Tough Enough show too.

However, WWE officials did approach him to work a feud that would have ended at next month’s pay-per-view. There has been no confirmation if Jericho accepted the offer but if he doesn’t show up on RAW within the next two weeks then he probably turned it down.
