WWE co-founder Vince McMahon is still under federal investigation over the sexual misconduct and trafficking allegations made public in various lawsuits. The billionaire had to resign from parent company TKO Group Holdings earlier this year after the shocking claims made by former WWE employee Janel Grant.

It was previously reported that there was a federal investigation into the sexual misconduct and trafficking allegations against McMahon. Federal agents seized a phone from the World Wrestling Entertainment co-founder as they tried to determine if federal law was broken in the conduct surrounding the various allegations that were made public via lawsuits.

Investigators first served Vince with a federal grand jury subpoena last July, while also executing a search warrant. The subpoena and search warrant were described as an escalation of the ongoing investigation into the one-time WWE Champion. The feds served the orders one year from the day it was first revealed that federal prosecutors and the SEC (U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission) were investigating McMahon and the company over his hush-money payments to women.

McMahon is apparently cooperating with authorities, according to a source close to Vince who spoke anonymously to NBC News. The 78-year-old believed investigators will not bring any charges against him, and that Grant's civil case will be settled out of court. A spokesperson for Grant's attorneys said there have been "absolutely no settlement talks" with the last ECW World Champion.

WWE is reportedly moving forward with removing Vince from history. McMahon attorney Jessica Rosenberg declined to comment on his life, but she did reiterate how they plan to fight the allegations, which they claim are untrue. She criticized the different suits.

"The lawsuit’s claims are false, defamatory and entirely without merit. We intend to vigorously defend Mr. McMahon and are confident that he will be vindicated," Vince McMahon lawyer Jessica Rosenberg wrote in her statement to NBC News on Tuesday.

A backstage source previously revealed how Vince has had recent contact with two major names. He did not attend WrestleMania XL and this was the first-ever 'Mania with no input or influence from Vince.

Linda McMahon attends WWE Hall of Fame while Vince McMahon absent

Linda McMahon founded World Wrestling Entertainment with her husband Vince McMahon years ago, but she left in 2009 to get into politics.

Stephanie McMahon surprised people when she returned at the 2024 Hall of Fame induction ceremony, but now it's been revealed that her mother Linda was also in attendance. Vince McMahon was not.

A veteran star recently predicted Linda's WWE comeback and revealed why she's a major asset to TKO. He also provided insight into Linda getting back at Vince by taking the job with his former employer.
