The Unexpected

The Unexpected

Although it didn’t have a plethora of surprise entries, the Royal Rumble lived up to the expectations and gave a solid show that was worth the pay-per-view money.

We are officially on the road to WrestleMania and the excitement has begun surging through the veins of every WWE fan. A lot of storylines sprouted from the Battle Royal which might be culminated at WrestleMania.

All these facts makes this week’s Raw a must watch show since more air will be cleared on Monday. More twists and turns can be expected from the creative on the plots and they will be looking to pull off one of the best shows in recent history riding the momentum they gained from Rumble.

So here is a look at what all we can expect from the latest edition of WWE Monday night Raw.

5- What’s next Fella?

As mentioned the Royal Rumble didn’t have a plethora of big returns, but one man that made a big impact was Sheamus. After almost six months of being out of action, Sheamus finally returned to action in the Rumble.

There were no signs of rustiness in his performance and he looked ready to be inserted into a big storyline.

But where will the creative put him into? That is a question which might be answered at Raw. Sheamus is sure to pull off an interesting promo which will give us more details on his current image. For now it’s still not clear whether the guy is a heel or a face. So keeping an eye on Sheamus would be a good thing as he is sure to give something on his potential WrestleMania clash.

4- Roman “Monster” Reigns

After last night’s performances there won’t be any fan in the WWE Universe that might doubt about the big push that Reigns will get very soon.

He now has standout performances in two of the biggest pay-per-view in WWE and WrestleMania ain’t going to be no different. Rubbing feather with his teammates also made big headline and Reigns might come out saying that he is better alone.

Expect the Shield to burst any moment now, as they don’t have any external forces to fight against. But the internal problems are more than interesting thus the creative is likely to concentrate on the internal dilemma.

More manure will be added for the growth of Reigns this week also while his teammates looks up with jealousy.

3- Cenation vs. Creepy guys

Next Target

Next Target

Bray Wyatt concluded his feud with Daniel Bryan with a spectacular match at the Rumble. And the creative needed a much bigger star to face the creepy guys in order to keep their momentum going.

Just like than we now have a potential feud between John Cena and Bray Wyatt at the horizon. This will be the last stage of Bray’s transformation into a main eventer as Cena is the biggest star in the current roster that he could go up against.

The motives of Bray’s choice are still a secret which will be revealed this week. At the same time Cena will demand answers from the eater of the Worlds which makes it a confrontation that cannot be missed.

2- Target on Randy Orton’s back

How Long can he hold on?

How Long can he hold on?

Randy Orton might have retained the title at Rumble by defeating John Cena at the Rumble, but the Viper is walking into a much bigger trap with Brock Lesnar and Batista chasing his title.

With two monsters behind him and the target painted on his back, Orton will need to be more aware than he was with Cena. but the chances of WWE adding some more contenders into the mix is so high since the Elimination Chamber is coming up.

Batista won’t be worried like the others because he has a guaranteed shot. The others however will be desperate to establish themselves are credible opponents for the title. How the WWE plans to book Lesnar is one other thing that is worth looking forward to.

1- The curse of Daniel Bryan

The Curse of disappointed fans

The Curse of disappointed fans

The company attracted all the negative response from the world for the way they booked Daniel Bryan at Royal Rumble. They even got their main event crucified with YES chants which has turned into a cult reaction of expressing something that is not up to the mark.

The “this is awful” chants from the WWE fans for the Cena- Orton match also called out that Daniel Bryan deserved more limelight than he got.

So how are they going to escape from this curse? The fans are not going to be happy unless they see Bryan win the title but the chances of him doing that with Batista, Orton and Lesnar in the roster are slim.

It’s the biggest headache of the creative at the moment as they needs to set the line straight about Daniel Bryan if they want to keep selling tickets for WWE shows. So the new direction of Daniel Bryan will be the biggest headline this week and the hottest storyline to watch out for.
