#4 Gangrel's appearance on AEW Dynamite canceled

The last time fans saw Gangrel; he was part of AEW Full Gear in The Elite Deletion match featuring Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara. He made a cameo appearance along with Hurricane Helms.

This wasn't meant to be Gangrel's only appearance in the company. Gangrel was in talks with AEW to make an appearance on Dynamite, which would've featured his famous 'Brood' entrance from WWE's Attitude Era. The problem was that Edge did the same at SummerSlam, which nixed in the deal in the process.

While Gangrel was elated for Edge, he told his former Brood stable member that it cost him.

"I go, 'Yeah, it kinda cost me.' 'What do you mean buddy?' 'That other company over there, AEW, they were getting ready to do a thing.' I was getting ready to do my entrance again, not Edge, me. I didn't tell him that. He got so quiet for what felt like an eternity. He goes, 'Man, I'm so sorry. If you had told me.' I didn't know, I just got booked. It felt like he was gonna cry." Gangrel added, "I did tell him how pumped I was he was doing the entrance. He felt so bad. He sent me pictures of his daughter with the jacket. I was like, 'It's cool man. It was f***ing awesome. I loved seeing you do that."[H/T -Fightful]

One thing is clear! Tony Khan doesn't book anyone without reason. How would Gangrel have figured into AEW's plan? Most likely, it would have been a short-term deal, but certainly, a storyline of sorts would have been in place.
