#3 A battle of Bullet Clubs (Bullet Club reunion)

Fans of NJPW and ROH witnessed the first Bullet Club civil war back in 2018. When the growing animosity between Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes became too much, it caused a split in one of the most powerful stables in wrestling. The both men battled in two heated encounters with Rhodes and Omega picking up a win each.

Following Omega's successful IWGP Heavyweight Championship defense over Rhodes at the G1 Special in San Francisco, it seemed that everything was settled. However, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa and Haku took that opportunity to excommunicate Omega, Cody and The Young Bucks from the group. Splitting The Elite from the Bullet Club proper set the stage for AEW in some way.

Since then, the two sides have not said much of one another as they were in different promotions. With the Bullet Club reunion on AEW Dynamite, Tama Tonga has let it be known that The Super Elite shouldn't be using their hand signal.

AEW's collaboration with IMPACT Wrestling has led many to question if one or both promotions might work with NJPW in the upcoming future. With Harold Meij now gone from New Japan, AEW President Tony Khan has publicly said that there is a better chance of the two companies doing a crossover of some kind. The Bullet Club reunion presents an intriguing story that could develop if so.

Karl Anderson, Tama Tonga and Bad Luck Fale were all original members of the stable, along with Finn Balor. Bullet Club was taken to new heights with Omega and The Bucks creating The Elite. The potential is endless in what could become a new civil war that could span across three different promotions. Fans would be quite excited to watch it all unfold.
