AEW Dynamite Results: 2 title matches, Former DX member in action, Moxley attacks The Elite

The latest episode of AEW Dynamite was headlined by Darby Allin defending the TNT Championship against Jungle Boy.

The episode also saw the AEW Women's Championship on the line as Tay Conti challenged Hikaru Shida. Let's get into the full results from the night right here.


Ricky Starks vs Hangman Page kicked off AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite started off with singles action with Hangman Page taking on Ricky Starks of Team Taz. Page started the match strong and dominated the opening stages, forcing Starks out of the ring. Back inside, Page continued his dominance with a Fallaway Slam. Starks kicked out and hit back with offense of his own. Starks worked on Hangman Page in the corner.

Hangman Page tried to hit back with a German Suplex. Starks landed on his feet. The finish saw Hangman Page turn Ricky Starks inside out over the top with a headlock suplex and then hooked the injured leg, forcing him to tap out.

Penta El Zero M vs Trent

Penta was in control early on but Trent didn't hold back. Driving Penta out to ringside, Trent dove over the top rope, taking out his opponent. Back in the ring, Trent hit a swinging DDT. Penta hit back with a Destroyer. The action spilled out to ringside as both AEW stars exchanged strikes. Trent went for a Spear but was sidestepped and ended up crashing into the barricade. Back in the ring again, Trent kicked out of the cover before hitting back with a half-and-a-half suplex.

Trent was dominating the match when Alex got involved from ringside. He took the mic and told Trent that he and his friends sucked, as did his mother Sue. Penta used the distraction to take out Orange Cassidy. Alex then hit Trent with the pic and Pena finished him off with the piledriver and pinned him.

Backstage interview during AEW with MJF and The Pinnacle

Jim Ross was with MJF and The Pinnacle backstage on AEW. Ross brought up Chris Jericho's promo during last week's AEW Dynamite. MJF said that he was better than Jericho in every way and added that Jericho got an F-grade when it came to elevating others. MJF then compared what he was doing now at 25 to what Jericho was at that age. He also called Mike Tyson a "stooge".


Hikaru Shida (C) vs Tay Conti (for the AEW Women's Championship)

The match started with both women going back and forth but it was the challenger who got the upper hand first. Tay Conti hit a judo throw before hitting a couple of running boots. Conti then locked in a submission lock but Sjoda reached the bottom rope.

Shida slid out of the ring to regroup and dodged another boot from Conti, sending the challenger face-first into the mat. Shida then hit her patented running knee lift before the action headed back inside the ring. Shida continued to dominate and hit a running knee in the corner. Conti hit back with a pump kick, taking the champion down.

Conti followed up with a second pump kick in the corner followed by a running boot. She then headed to the top rope and hit a senton across the champion's spine. Conti tried to hit the DDTay but Shida blocked it and hit the Falcon Arrow. Shida then dropped Tay Conti spine-first onto the top turnbuckle. Conti replied with another Pump Kick before hitting the Tay-KO. Shida kicked out at the last second. The Champion hit back with the Katana to finally pin Tay Conti.

Chris Jericho and The Inner Circle send a message to The Pinnacle ahead of their AEW Blood and Guts match

Chris Jericho and The Inner Circle came down to the AEW ring to talk to Tony Schiavone. The Inner Circle looked like they meant business as they made their way down to the squared circle. Chris Jericho said that the Inner Circle couldn't wait to get their hands on The Pinnacle at Blood and Guts next month.

Santana took the mic and called out The Pinnacle for working behind their backs. He also said that on May 5th everyone would see how much fight and heart The Pinnacle really had.

Chris Jericho then performed a special show tune he had written for MJF. Jericho added that while it was fun to make fun of MJF at Blood and Guts, it would be all business and that the Inner Circle would inflict a beating on the members of The Pinnacle.

Jericho then invited The Pinnacle to an old-fashioned parley next week on AEW Dynamite where both factions will meet inside the ring. The segment ended with Inner Circle members posing for the camera.

Billy Gunn vs QT Marshall on AEW Dynamite

Billy Gunn attacked QT Marshall and his boys as they were mid-entrance during AEW. He quickly brought QT into the ring before tossing him over the top rope. Gunn headed out and slammed QT onto the apron before rolling him back inside the ring.

The action headed out to ringside again and Nick Comoroto sent Billy Gunn head first into the ring post as the referee had his head turned. Austin and Coltin Gunn saw this and attacked Nick Comoroto and Aaron Solow. QT finally looked like he found an opening but Billy Gunn was back on top after a burst of offense. Out of desperation, QT went to hit a Diamond Cutter but it was blocked.

Anthony Ogogo came out at this point and blindsided Billy Gunn. QT Marshall did not hesitate and used this opening to hit Billy Gunn with the Diamond Cutter. He then pinned the WWE legend to pick up the win.

QT was about to hit Billy Gunn with a wooden chair when Dustin Rhodes' music hit. He came out with a bull rope and smashed it across QT's mid-section, forcing him to roll out of the ring. Nick Comoroto tried to blindside Dustin Rhodes. Rhodes smashed the chair across Comoroto's head but he barely flinched.

Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston attack the Elite with a truck on AEW

The Elite and Don Callis were in their trailer cutting a promo on AEW when an incessant honking distracted Kenny Omega from his promo. it turned out to be Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston in a pickup truck. Moxley drove the truck into the trailer. Moxley and Kingston then took a steel pipe and headed into the trailer but The Elite was long gone.


Christian Cage vs Powerhouse Hobbs on AEW

Powerhouse Hobbs had a big strength advantage over Christian Cage and it showed early on. Hobbs dominated the early stages of the match and his power advantage was pretty evident. Christian Cage went to hit the Killswitch at one point but Hobbs powered out of it almost effortlessly. The match spilled out to ringside as Hobbs dumped Cage over the barricade.

Back in the ring, Christian Cage finally got in some meaningful offense. Christian hit a diving uppercut followed by a Frog Splash but it wasn't enough to put Powerhouse Hobbs away. The finish of the match saw Hobbs go to hit the Stampede but Christian reversed it and finally hit Hobbs with the Killswitch.

Darby Allin (C) vs Jungle Boy (for the AEW TNT Championship)

Neither man held back and the AEW TNT title match was pretty even in the opening stages. Both men hit each other with whatever they had as they went back and forth. Things got a little heated at one point as they got into each other's faces.

Jungle Boy hit Darby Allin with a massive belly-to-belly suplex into the turnbuckle. Allin hit Jungle Boy with his version of the Stundog before following it up with a series of running strikes in the corner.

Jungle Boy hit back with a backstabber that sent Darby Allin rolling out of the ring. Jungle Boy followed it up with a series of tope suicidas, taking Allin out at ringside. Back in the ring, Darby had a guillotine hold locked in and then headed up to the top rope. Allin hit a Coffin Drop onto the ring apron. Luchasaurus helped Jungle Boy get back into the ring in time and this led to a scuffle with Sting. Both Luchasaurus and Sting brawled to the back.

Inside the ring, Jungle Boy had a modified Snaretrap locked in but Allin reached the rope. Allin then pinned Jungle Boy out of nowhere with The Last Supper.

Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page attacked both Jungle Boy and Darby Allin after the match. Lance Archer came out to drive them away followed by Sting.
