#3 We hope is true: AEW Full Gear tickets outselling WWE Survivor Series

In another exciting development, AEW's Full Gear pay-per-view, which will emanate from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota next month, is currently outselling WWE's Survivor Series in ticket sales.

According to WrestleTix, Tony Khan's promotion has sold nearly 9000 seats for a venue that holds 10,200 seating capacity. Meanwhile, WWE has only sold 6000 tickets for their event at the Barclays Center in New York, which capacitates more than 16,000 fans.

This isn't surprising to see, given that AEW sells tickets at an economical price, while WWE has overpriced for some of their sections. It is worth noting that AEW hasn't opened the upper deck area yet, increasing the chances of selling more tickets if they open it up.

We hope this is true because AEW has managed to bring more eyeballs to their product lately with the arrivals of CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Adam Cole.

#2 We hope isn't true: Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks losing their creative powers

In an unexpected development, bodyslam.net recently reported that Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega have EVPs status only in their names, and Tony Khan has taken away their creative control considerably.

Soon after, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio squashed these reports, stating that rumors swirling around were a story from 2019. He added that Tony Khan always makes the final call in booking storylines and talent hiring. However, EVPs still have their say in the creative process alongside major stars like Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, and now Bryan Danielson:

"The big story going around, and it's being propagated in a bunch of places is that how the EVPs have lost all their powers. This story is from 2019, almost two years ago, when Tony Khan took over the booking. I mean, Tony Khan has always been the booker. I have heard people saying, 'Ohh, Cody Rhodes is booking this and this.' It's always been, Tony Khan. He discusses the stuff with all the EVPs. Like they all are in the discussion and stuff, but Tony Khan makes the final call. They all have input. And when it comes to their own stuff, as far as getting to the final destination, they have a lot of input into the angle. Chris Jericho does, Moxley does, I'm sure Bryan Danielson does, I'm sure all the top guys do. Nobody has lost any power of late," said Meltzer.

Despite such confusion, we hope that Bodyslam's report isn't true and that EVPs still hold some say in creative decisions.

Wrestlers like The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, and Kenny Omega laid the foundation for the company and helped make a friendly environment for its employees. EVPs having their say in storyline pitches and booking decisions is one of the reasons behind AEW's swift rise since its inception.
