Two former WWE stars are set to make their AEW Dynamite debuts as they team up with Ring of Honor stalwart to challenge The House of Black for their World Trios Championships.

On last week's Dynamite, Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews defeated Bandido and The Best Friends in a House Rules open challenge. This week, The House of Black will take on the team of Blake Christian, Metalik, and AR Fox.

The trio have worked together in the past. They unsuccessfully challenged The Embassy for the ROH World Trios Championships at the Supercard of Honor event. This Wednesday will mark the Dynamite debuts for Christian and Metalik, although they have previously appeared on AEW Dark.

Blake Christian spent less than a year in WWE performing under the name Trey Baxter on NXT and 205 Live. He was released from his contract in November 2021 and debuted for AEW in March 2022.

Metalik's WWE run was more successful, having spent five years in the promotion. He is best known for being a member of the Lucha House Party alongside Lince Dorado and Kalisto. Metalik is also a former 24/7 Champion.

The newly-introduced House Rules matches allow the challenging team to pick one stipulation for their contest. Given the high-flying acrobatics of Christian, Metalik, and Fox, fans will no doubt be intrigued to see what clause they add to their match.

More title matches on this week's AEW Dynamite

Elsewhere on the card, Orange Cassidy will look to keep his winning streak going as he defends his International Championship against Kyle Fletcher. Cassidy has looked noticeably more fatigued after each title defense. So, perhaps the title may change hands this Wednesday.

The ROH Tag Team Championships will also be on the line when current titleholders The Lucha Bros. meet Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. The Blackpool Combat Club have been on a tear recently, but they will have to pull out all the stops to defeat Pentagón Jr. and Rey Fénix.

As the promotion gears up for Double or Nothing, fans will be expecting a monumental show this Wednesday.
