AEW star MVP is currently the manager of the Hurt Syndicate faction. Apart from him, this terrifying group consists of Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MJF. Furthermore, Lashley and Benjamin are the reigning AEW World Tag Team champions.
The Hurt Syndicate was known as the Hurt Business under WWE's banner. Once upon a time, MVP was one of their biggest names. However, management moved on from him to focus on other stars. In a recent interview with BetIdeas.com, the former WWE United States Champion stated that he had no respect for Triple H. He hated that the King of Kings booked Bobby Lashley poorly and said that he has several issues with him. Interestingly, on a recent Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL episode, wrestling veteran Konnan revealed a piece of stunning information. He said that more than a decade ago, Montel Vontavious Porter asked the former World Heavyweight Champion to step outside and settle their differences.
"Maybe ten or twelve years ago. I don't know what the problem was between Triple H and MVP, but he actually asked him to step outside and settle it, which is not a good move to do to anybody in a power position unless you are willing to get fired. And maybe Triple H never forgot that. Also, you have to remember that he got rehired," said the WWE Hall of Famer. [From 4:55 to 5:30]
AEW star MVP on Triple H's poor booking of Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley's booking in WWE by Triple H was underwhelming. Vince McMahon kept the Almighty in the main event scene. However, when the King of Kings took charge, Lashley became a midcarder. This made MVP furious because, according to him, Lashley is a moneymaker.
"After he (Triple H) took over, Bobby Lashley was reduced to the mid-card. Bobby Lashley is a bankable, marketable guy. And two time WWE Champion just got reduced to mid card, whatever," he said. [H/T NoDQ]
MVP is predominantly a manager in AEW now. However, fans worldwide want him to lace his boots and enter the squared circle again.
