Last year, the two wrestling personalities ran into each other at the airport and spoke about the business. Sources reported that Shane O'Mac wanted to run the company, despite having no knowledge of the product. It was revealed that Tony Khan did not follow up with him, something he did not take personally.

Shane McMahon recently spoke to TMZ about his meeting with Tony Khan and AEW. He mentioned that it didn’t feel the same since it wasn't WWE, an organization he has always been affiliated with. However, Shane didn’t rule out the possibility of anything happening between them.

Fans have reacted to the interview. One mentioned that Shane may not have committed, as he did not think AEW was a serious investment. Another pointed out that it may have been Tony Khan who wouldn't want to give up some of his power.

The former WWE icon also addressed other claims about his family. One of these includes the possibility of him and his father, Vince McMahon, starting a new wrestling company together.

During the same interview with TMZ, Shane McMahon mentioned once more how you could never rule anything out in the industry. However, he wanted to reiterate that the rumors about him and his father were completely false and that they had no intention of starting another company.

"You never know what's going to happen out there. Of course, anything can happen in WWE, but those rumors are false. Those rumors are false," McMahon said.

What Shane O'Mac said during the interview was true, and that you can never say never in wrestling. Fans will just have to keep their eye on the situation and what the next move for the McMahon family could be.
