Logan Paul drew from a top AEW star's bag of moves at WWE Money in the Bank 2025. The YouTuber-turned-wrestler, however, seemed unable to execute the maneuver properly, and fans are now sharing their reactions to the supposed botch on social media.
This past Saturday, WWE presented the 2025 edition of Money In The Bank at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA. The event featured a number of high-profile matches, including a star-studded tag team bout featuring Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena and Logan Paul against Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso.
At one point during the match, The Maverick attempted a slingshot lariat on Uso, reminiscent of the Buckshot Lariat used by former AEW World Champion Adam Page. However, Paul seemed to slip while executing the move and was quickly laid out by a superkick from Jey.
Fans quickly took to X/Twitter and fired off at Logan Paul over his apparent botch. Several users recalled how CM Punk had similarly stumbled while trying to hit The Hangman with the Buckshot Lariat during their World Title bout at Double or Nothing 2022.
Fans of Page praised him for his ability to execute the move consistently, although one user argued that The Maverick's slip had been intentionally produced as a spot in the matchup.
"Only hangman can consistently do that move, shows how hard it is," posted a user.
"CM Punk Could NEVER," posted another user.
"Never seen Hanger botch it once," wrote a fan.
"Page is still laughing," quipped a user.
"Let the expert showing you how its done," said another tweet.
The night was an unsuccessful one for Logan and Cena, as The Cenation Leader was taken out by the returning R-Truth, allowing Cody Rhodes to pin him and secure the win for himself and Jey Uso.
Hangman Page is scheduled for a huge AEW Title match
Adam Page won the 2025 Men's Owen Hart Cup by defeating Will Ospreay in the tournament finals at Double or Nothing last month. This victory earned The Hangman a shot at Jon Moxley's AEW World Championship, which is scheduled for All In: Texas.
Page has vowed to his fans that he will dethrone The One True King at the upcoming stadium show and bring the World Title back to the locker room. Although he has formed an alliance with The Aerial Assassin to deal with The Death Riders, the Virginia native continues to staunchly refuse Ospreay's suggestion of working with Swerve Strickland to take down the violent faction.

It remains to be seen if the so-called "Main Character" of AEW will ride out of Texas with the World Championship on July 12.
