A former AEW champion's contract is rumored to have expired. In the midst of this, fans have already urged Triple H to sign him to WWE.

Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix are among the most successful tag team wrestlers in the world. They have captivated fans for years with their innovative offense and death-defying moves in the ring. They are also a decorated tag team that has won titles around the world, including in AEW.

Despite their previous success, their past year in AEW hasn't been too good for them. They have been booked poorly and have not featured as frequently. Due to their poor booking, there were rumors that Lucha Bros. could be headed to WWE after their contracts expired. There was also speculation that Tony Khan tried to prevent this from happening by adding more time to Rey Fenix's contract.

Fightful Select recently reported that Penta El Zero Miedo's contract with All Elite Wrestling is up, and he is now a free agent. However, his brother, Fenix, remains under contract with the Jacksonville-based promotion. It was also reported that Penta had been in contact with WWE.

Jey Uso discusses a potential match against AEW stars The Lucha Bros in WWE

The big reason why a lot of fans are excited at the prospect of the Lucha Bros. signing with WWE is the amount of dream matches that could take place. WWE's tag team division is as robust as ever and filled with a plethora of talent like DIY, The New Day, The Bloodline, and The Motor City Machine Guns. Even Jey Uso has opened up about a match against the former AEW Tag Team Champions.

During a recent interview with Metro UK, Jey Uso discussed the possibility of reuniting with his brother. He also said he would like to face The Motor City Machine Guns and The Lucha Bros in WWE.

"I feel like if we [The Usos, with Jimmy] did have a comeback, man, I would like to run with those guys [Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin], a couple [of] guys from NXT, maybe the Lucha Bros. [Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix]. But they gotta walk through this door," Jey said. [H/T: Metro]

If the rumors are to be believed, this dream match could very well become a reality in the future.
