A top star and former champion from AEW's women's division has been off of television since her last match with Mercedes Mone. Fans are now speculating on social media that the talent in question, Jamie Hayter, was injured during her bout with the former Sasha Banks.
Mercedes Mone and Jamie Hayter went one-on-one last month at Double or Nothing 2025 in the finals of the Women's Owen Hart Cup. Despite the former AEW Women's World Champion's best efforts, The CEO stole the victory after executing what appeared to be a DDT-roll-up combination that saw Hayter being planted on the mat right on her head. On the following episode of Dynamite, Jamie was taken out by the debuting Thekla and has not appeared on television since.
A recent report on the hard-hitting Englishwoman's status has revealed that she has not been cleared for in-ring action, accounting for her recent absence. As the update began making the rounds on social media, a user shared their speculation that Hayter had sustained an injury during the finish of her match with Mercedes Mone at AEW Double or Nothing.

Wrestling fans quickly took to X/Twitter to react to the possibility of the TBS Champion accidentally hurting Jamie Hayter while performing the aforementioned roll-up spot. Several users lashed out at Mone under the assumption, although a few suggested that the apparent botch was merely a slip-up, as is quite common in wrestling.
"Mercedes injured someone on a botch; call me shocked," wrote a user.
"Of all the things the IWC goes after Mercedes for, they were surprisingly silent on this," observed a viewer.
"maybe but she was on dynamite for the thekla debut so i aint sure," speculated a user.
"its not mercedes’ fault, jamie didn’t tuck her chin," argued another user.
It should be noted that no specific reports have been shared as to why Hayter is out of commission right now, and all the conjectures circulating among fans are purely speculative.
Mercedes Mone's huge upcoming AEW title match
Courtesy of her victory over Jamie Hayter last month, Mercedes Mone is now poised to add another belt to her increasingly growing collection of titles. The self-proclaimed CEO of Professional Wrestling will be challenging for the AEW Women's World Championship at All In: Texas, where she will be taking on none other than one of the promotion's perennial fan favorites, Toni Storm.
It remains to be seen if Mone will be able to walk out of the Globe Life Field next month with The Timeless One's belt in her grasp.
