AEW star Saraya has not wrestled in months, and fans were beginning to become concerned about her status. Now that she's been advertised for her first match since February, the former Paige has derided fans who peddled "conspiracy theories" about her absence.

The British star competed frequently leading up to and throughout her AEW Women's World Championship reign, but after losing the title to Hikaru Shida last October, she began wrestling roughly once per month. That is, until February this year when she had her last in-ring outing to date against Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale.

The former WWE Superstar is now set to compete alongside Harley Cameron against Toni Storm and Mariah May on AEW Dynamite. Fans have been complaining about Saraya's lack of matches lately, and some aren't too pleased that her first bout in three months is a tag team match. The 31-year-old took to X today to brush off these concerns:

"I love that there’s always a conspiracy theory as to why I haven’t been wrestling or what kinda match I’m in when I do wrestle. 😂 Anyways. Thanks for the follow bud," she wrote.

While it's mostly fans who have grumbled about Saraya's absence, the AEW star herself recently commented on the fact that she hadn't wrestled in a while.

What has Saraya been up to in her absence?

Although she hasn't been competing in the ring, Saraya has stayed busy over the last few months. She's been making moves outside the Jacksonville-based promotion and recently filed a trademark for her name, suggesting that she may be taking another step in the world of film and television.

Additionally, a recent report from Fightful revealed that the British star is set to appear on MTV's Catfish as a co-host. Filming for the episode reportedly wrapped on May 15.

The 31-year-old has appeared in several reality shows and films in the past, and her family was even the subject of a documentary in 2012, which was adapted into a feature film by The Rock. It's unclear what her future plans are, but she certainly has the experience and the fanbase to propel her on whatever path she chooses.
