Has Andrade's return been in works for months?

AEW star Andrade El Idolo was recently spotted in the promotional material for the upcoming Collision show. According to a recent report, El Idolo has been preparing for the show's launch since November.

Shortly before disappearing from television, Andrade sparked controversy with his public Twitter spat with Sammy Guevara. Following this, rumors alleged that the two got into a brief tussle and that he was suspended after their alteration.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Andrade's surgery was in order for him to return by the launch of AEW Collision.

"Andrade El Idolo underwent surgery in late November to repair a torn pec, so he could be ready by the launch of AEW Collision and if not, would be ready within a month or so after the launch."

Andrade El Idolo has since personally confirmed that he's back and ready to compete in the promotion, and filmed a quick clip for All Elite Wrestling's official Twitter page.

Andrade El Idolo jokingly claimed to know nothing about his AEW Collision return

A week before the promotion announced Collision, Dynamite featured the on-screen returns of both Miro and Thunder Rosa. Notably, both stars were featured on the promotional material alongside Andrade El Idolo and many others.

"Órale!! what news, I had no idea!!!" he tweeted.

Many fans were deadset on rumors that he'd be returning to WWE instead, but have since been proven wrong. In light of this, how many of the rumors surrounding the All Elite Wrestling roster have been false all along? Fans won't want to miss Andrade El Idolo's return, as he'll likely compete on the first episode of AEW Collision on the 17th of June, 2023.
