The Boruto fanbase has once again come up with an interesting theory. This time, however, the theory revolves around Amado. This character has been shrouded in mystery since he was introduced in the show. He always had ulterior motives, making it hard for people to trust him.
His goal has always been to revive Akebi, his daughter, which is why Amado created these cyborgs. Delta is one of the cyborgs who looks exactly like Akebi, and she would play a key role in his daughter’s revival. However, the theory postulates that Kawaki and the protagonist could die if Akebi is revived.
The theory explores the possibility of Akebi’s revival and its consequences. It also reveals the identity of the final antagonist that Boruto might have to face towards the concluding stages of the manga.

Fan theory speculates how Akebi’s revival could be detrimental to Kawaki and Boruto
It’s clear that Amado plans to revive Akebi. However, the fan theory states that it could put Boruto and Kawaki’s lives at a massive risk. Akebi died of an incurable disease, the origins of which were unknown. Assuming Amado finds a way to revive Akebi, he will not risk letting Akebi get afflicted with this unknown disease again. Amado is calculative and is always two to three steps ahead of everyone else.
Interestingly, it was Amado who got his hands on Shibai’s remains. We know he always has an ulterior motive and hid a sizeable portion of the remains. The theory states that he could use this to not only revive Akebi but also turn her into an Otsutsuki. The reason for doing this would be to help Akebi become immortal, thereby not being susceptible to the incurable disease.
The theory states that she could become the final antagonist in the series. Before the series develops to this extent, Kawaki might realize that killing Momoshiki and Boruto will not solve everything. There are plenty of Otsutsuki, and they could continue to invade the planet at various intervals. This realization could lead to the two characters making amends.
Revisiting the earlier point, Akebi becoming an Otsutsuki could force Boruto and Kawaki to fight on the same side. The protagonist could strike a deal with Momoshiki, asking him to spare the planet in exchange for a complete takeover.
Based on how things are, he still has some control over Momoshiki since he fled the battlefield before the Karma Mode could get activated. He would allow the Otsutsuki in him to take over, fight alongside Kawaki, and defeat Akebi towards the end of the manga.
Conclusion
This is an interesting theory, and it’s not altogether impossible for the manga to go in this direction. The protagonist giving up his life in exchange for the safety of his planet would serve as an interesting ending.
Furthermore, Amado’s actions endangering Boruto and Kawaki is another interesting aspect of the theory that fans will like. That said, we urge the fanbase to patiently wait for the subsequent chapters to get clarity on how the series will progress.
