With the release of Bleach TYBW part 3 episode 8, the anime finally showcased the long-awaited fight featuring the Soul King's left arm Pernida Parnkgjas, and Gotei 13 Division 12 Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Zaraki Kenpachi and Mayuri Kurotsuchi had entered the Wahrwelt through a different location with their subordinates to avoid any disturbances, which is when they encountered Pernida.

With the fight between Mayuri Kurotsuchi and Pernida Parnkgjas looking pretty much concluded, fans would have liked to learn what happened after Mayuri managed to contain the Soul King's left arm. Unfortunately, that will have to wait until the next episode is released.

As for the current episode, while Pierrot Films pretty much animated Bleach TYBW part 3 episode 8 as a one-to-one adaptation from the manga, there were some differences between the anime and the manga.

Bleach TYBW part 3 episode 8: Every change made by Pierrot Films for the anime

Pierrot Films added anime original scenes of Bazz-B, Liltotto, and Giselle

As seen in the anime, Pierrot Films pretty much adapted the anime one-to-one compared to the manga panels. However, there was one scene that was original to the anime. It was the one featuring Bazz-B, Liltotto, and Giselle.

While the Sternritters had their eyes on Yhwach and Jugram Haschwalth for their betrayal against all Sternritters, the new anime-original scene hinted at some past grudge Bazz-B was holding against the Sternritter Grandmaster Jugram Haschwalth.

There was no such scene in the manga but was simply an anime-original scene added to build up the fight between Bazz-B and Jugram. This scene also suggests that the upcoming anime episode could feature some flashback scenes featuring the two Quincy.

In addition, the anime also saw Liltotto suggesting that she and Giselle would fight Yhwach all by themselves. With that in mind, the anime also used this scene to set up the two-on-one fight.

Pierrot Films changed the chronology of events in Bleach TYBW part 3 episode 8

Unbeknownst to the anime-only fans, the fight between Pernida Parnkgjas and Mayuri Kurotsuchi was supposed to take place much later. This is because the manga depicts this fight after showcasing the fights between the Quincy, i.e., Bazz-B vs. Jugram Haschwalth, and Giselle & Liltotto vs. Yhwach.

However, Pierrot Films seemingly made this change accommodate the two fights closer to the anime's conclusion. With this move, the anime's staff might be planning to set up the anime's end on a high. However, this is just mere speculation. With the anime possibly set to air 12-13 episodes, the anime's conclusion is still a bit far.

Fans hope that the anime will soon adapt the previously omitted manga scenes. This should help fans get an idea of what the animation studio Pierrot Films was planning with the change in chronology. With manga creator Tite Kubo involved, there is a likely chance that something good is in store for the fans.
