On Friday, November 29, 2024, the official website and X account for the Magic Maker anime unveiled a new key visual and confirmed the show's release date of January 9, 2025. Additionally, the staff revealed broadcast information for the series.

Fully titled Magic Maker: How To Make Magic in Another World, the anime is based on author Kaburagi Kazuki's fantasy light novel series. The series was launched on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2017. Later, Kadokawa acquired the rights to publish the novels with Ten's art. The series also has a manga adaptation with Tomozo Nishioka's illustrations.


Magic Maker anime is set to premiere on January 9, 2025

The official staff for the series revealed on Friday, November 29, 2024, that the Magic Maker anime will be released on January 9, 2025. According to the broadcast information, the fantasy anime will air its episodes every Thursday from 12 am JST, starting January 9, 2025, on TV Tokyo (stylized as January 8, 2024, 24:00 JST).

Besides TV Tokyo, Magic Maker anime will be telecast on TV Osaka starting January 9, 2025, at 1:35 AM JST (stylized as January 8, 2025, at 25:35 JST). Additionally, Japanese fans can watch the show on BS Nippon TV every Thursday at 11 pm JST from January 9, 2025, and every Thursday at 10 pm JST, starting January 9, 2025, on AT-X.

Aside from the broadcast information, the official staff has unveiled a key visual for the Magic Maker anime. The illustration depicts the main character, Shion, who is reincarnated in an Isekai world with a longing for magic. Besides Shion, the visual showcases his sister Marie, his childhood friend Rose, the master scholar Bridget, the knight corps' Rafina, and Cole, the medical apprentice.

Megumi Han stars as Shion, while Ai Kakuma voices Shion's sister, Marie. Other cast members include Yu Serizawa as Rafina, Sora Amamiya as Rose, Aoi Koga as Bridget, Naoya Miyase as Cole, Megumi Toyoguchi as Ema, Mitsuru Miyamoto as Gawain, and Masayuki Akasaka as Glass.

Kazuomi Koga directs the fantasy anime at Studio DEEN, with Keiichiro Ochi supervising the scripts. Takayuki Noguchi is credited as the character designer, while Kei Yoshikawa and Kana Hashiguchi are the music composers. XIIX performs the opening theme, Kirameki, which translates to Twinkle in English.

The anime centers around a man who harbors an intense desire for magic. One day, he meets his untimely demise and is reincarnated into another world as Shion. He wonders whether he can finally achieve his dream of acquiring magic.

However, Shion learns that magic doesn't exist in the new world. Yet one day, while visiting a lake with his sister Marie, Shion observes a mysterious phenomenon that reignites his dream. Thus, the boy aspires to be a pioneer of magic and begins his research.
