With the official release of One Piece chapter 1112 earlier this week, fans saw the situation at Egghead Island go from bad to worse as the advantage swung back into Gorosei’s favor. The chapter highlighted the events of divide and conquer, with Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro cornering Bonney’s group, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn cornering Nami’s, and Saint Marcus Mars discovering the Transponder Snail, as well as broadcasting Dr. Vegapunk’s message.

However, in One Piece chapter 1112’s final panels, fans saw Saint Mars discover something else in the Punk Records area beyond the aforementioned Transponder Snail. Moreover, whatever he was looking at used onomatopoeia, indicative of some type of contained liquid and it seemed to shock him deeply.

Tragically, chapter 1112 concluded before unveiling what Mars found, saving the review for a future point in time. Likewise, while many fans are expecting the upcoming chapter 1113 to begin with the reveal of this information, there’s one conclusion fans have come to which may actually prove to be the reveal itself.

One Piece chapter 1112 sets up introduction of one final Vegapunk Satellite

Throughout the Egghead arc up to One Piece chapter 1112, two major points of focus have been the Vegapunk Satellites and the Seraphim units. Both are technological marvels made by Dr. Vegapunk, and are wanted by the World Government either to wrap up loose ends or to increase their military might.

Coincidentally, chapter 1112 sees York reference her fellow Satellites when speaking with Mars, saying that they don’t want to “rack up anymore ‘sins’” and that their “relationship is already troubled enough.” The first quote is seemingly a reference to the fact that she and the other Satellites are modeled after the Seven Deadly Sins. The latter quote seems to suggest that given how dysfunctional the current Satellites already are, she doesn’t want to add another.

This would, in turn, suggest that there is a seventh Satellite to add to the mix which was already built and lying in wait as of One Piece chapter 1112. Given that she prefaces both of the above quotes by saying she knows how to stop Dr. Vegapunk’s broadcast, she implies that it would also prevent another “sin” from being added. In other words, it would stop another Vegapunk Satellite from being activated and joining the world.

In turn, it also seemingly suggests that Dr. Vegapunk’s broadcast is also being made possible by this seventh Satellite which fans have yet to be introduced to. This would also explain why the Transponder Snail that Saint Mars found in chapter 1112 was deliberately placed next to something shocking with major implications.

Likewise, it also suggests that there is some sort of safety mechanism set up for Dr. Vegapunk’s broadcast as of chapter 1112. The Transponder Snail is likely meant to act as a “red herring,” while something about the seventh Satellite needs to be changed to truly stop the broadcast.

Dr. Vegapunk may have made the seventh Satellite’s activation impossible without either himself or one of his other six Satellites present. With just one minute left until Dr. Vegapunk’s actual message starts, this would all but guarantee his words reach the world as he originally intended.
