The One Punch Man manga recently released chapter 209 and featured more of Blast's encounter with Void and their battle, which abruptly ended thanks to Saitama's return. While it was already shown in previous chapters that Void had been his partner, this chapter could have very well explained why he hates Blast so much, and it makes a lot of sense.

As the two powerhouses were fighting, there was a moment in the One Punch Man manga where their minds connected, and they could see each other's memories. This section introduces what appears to be Blast's wife, potentially linking to Void's comments about how everyone dies because of the hero, which might imply a blood relationship with that young woman.

The One Punch Man manga perhaps has explained the main reason why Void hates Blast

The most recent chapter of the One Punch Man manga continued with the fight between Blast and Void, with the two talking a bit about their past as partners. At this moment, Void mentioned how Blast is always a danger to those around him, which seems to imply that something has happened to someone close to the hero in the past, and perhaps he was the one responsible.

There has been a running theory that Blast has a very complicated past and now there was a moment in this chapter where he and Void managed to see the other's memories. It is revealed that the hero had a wife and could be related in some shape or form to Void, with some fans in the community speculating she could be the latter's sister.

This would make a lot of sense when taking into account that Void, at some point, got the leaking powers of God that Garou had and could have done this driven as a way to get back at Blast. It is difficult to gauge this at the moment, but this theory would make a lot of sense with the information that ONE and Yusuke Murata have provided in this version of the manga.

What to expect from the following chapter

It is very likely that the coming chapter of the One Punch Man manga is going to reveal more of Void's motivation and the reason behind the image of Blast's family. Flashy Flash also attempted to get involved in the fight, which could happen again, although the main focus will be the top hero and his former partner.

The biggest element of the most recent chapter, beyond Blast's past, is that Saitama has returned to the story. There is a good chance that Saitama will get involved in some shape or form, perhaps even defeating Void in a way that could reveal some mysteries of God and what he is doing.

Final thoughts

Chapter 209 of One Punch Man has proven pivotal in giving people greater context behind why Void hates Blast. This chapter could also likely set the stage to develop the top hero's past and what happened to his family.
