Although the races so far had featured Oguri competing against other horsegirls for first place, largely disregarding fellow competitors, her latest race saw 10 players man-marking her throughout the initial strides.

Although Oguri hadn't faced Muteki's man-marking in her previous races, being man-marked by every other competitor ended up putting a lot of pressure on the upcoming star. Eventually, she was able to win the race by keeping a low profile throughout the entire race, only to make her final spurt in the last few meters.

The race eventually solidified her candidacy in the nationals, putting her against other prominent names alongside Tamamo Cross herself. The episode also featured Oguri's debut in her racing uniform, appropriately resembling a sailor uniform.

Although both Oguri and Tamamo Cross hadn't directly declared their rivalry against each other, Oguri herself declared war on every single national prospect by claiming that she would conquer the league and become the main star. The episode ended with Tamamo Cross and Oguri Cap gearing up for their eventual battle on the racecourse.
