In mangaka Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece series, there are over 150 different Devil Fruits and Devil Fruit users introduced in the series’ 27–plus years of publication. As a result, many often slip through the cracks of fans’ memories as they read the series, such as with Monet in the Punk Hazard Arc.

Despite being a Devil Fruit user, Monet’s role in the arc was relatively small, leading many fans to ask “what Devil Fruit does Monet have in One Piece?” Monet’s Devil Fruit is the Logia-type Snow–Snow Fruit, also known as the Yuki Yuki no Mi, which turns the user’s body into snow and lets them create and control snow at will.

Monet’s powers and abilities, explained

As mentioned above, the answer to the question of “what Devil Fruit does Monet have in One Piece” is the Snow-Snow Fruit. This turns its user into a Snow Human, allowing them to create, control, and become snow itself at will. It’s unknown when Monet ate the Fruit or how she came to possess it, but her mastery suggests that she had spent a significant amount of time training and fighting with it.

The mastery in question sees her utilize the Snow-Snow Fruit in an offensive, defensive, and support-like barrier. Defensively, she can create barriers or walls of ultra-dense snow, which are extremely hard. She can also use it to incapacitate enemies in multiple ways, such as sapping their body heat with her extremely cold body. Additionally, she can create a massive, multi-layered snow barrier, trapping enemies and sapping them of their body heat.

The fruit’s main support benefits come from its user’s ability to secretly hide in snowstorms and move through snow, allowing her to track even the likes of Trafalgar D. Water Law unnoticed. These powers are especially useful, as she can easily create enough snow to cover an entire battlefield in it, giving her a terrain advantage. Monet can also release massive blizzards even indoors, giving her a further advantage.

Offensively, One Piece’s Punk Hazard Arc saw Monet’s Fruit be extremely impressive. The Mannen Yuki is likely the most impressive, as she traps her enemies before transforming into a massive beast with teeth that can easily rip and tear flesh. She can also freeze her wings and turn them into swords strong enough to clash with Zoro. She also utilizes hardened snowballs en masse and miniature targeted blizzards as a means of long-range attack.

The Snow-Snow Fruit’s weaknesses in One Piece

Like Aokiji and his Ice-Ice Fruit, Monet also has what seems to be total immunity to cold weather due to her fruit’s element. The fruit’s Logia-type status allows physical attacks not imbued with Armament Haki or Sea Prism Stone to pass through her. However, she remains susceptible to heat-based attacks by nature of an elemental disadvantage. This was evidenced in One Piece via Nami’s Clima Tact damaging her wing with its Heat Egg.

Monet’s final confrontation with Zoro also suggests that the user can lose control of their body if their mental faculties are compromised. This was shown via Zoro cutting her in half non-lethally but doing so in such a way that caused her to think she would die. This resulted in a massive amount of fear and anxiety, which prevented her from controlling her body’s transformations. Beyond all of this, the Snow-Snow Fruit suffers from the typical Devil Fruit weaknesses.

The answer to the question of “what Devil Fruit does Monet have in One Piece” is the Snow–Snow Fruit. Monet uses this Fruit in an extremely powerful and clever way but also highlights some of its biggest pitfalls via her role in the Punk Hazard Arc.
