Choso is a character in the popular Japanese manga series, Jujutsu Kaisen. He is one of the Death Painting Wombs, a group of three cursed spirits incarnated into human-like forms. Choso has two brothers, Kechizu and Eso, who are also part of the same group.
He initially sides with Kenjaku's alliance with Mahito but later discovers that Noritoshi Kamo, the cruel father of the Death Painting Wombs, is one of the identities of the curse user. He also realizes that Yuji Itadori, a relative of Kenjaku, is his new younger brother, and aligns himself with him.
Appearance
Choso's physical form is visible to both sorcerers and non-sorcerers alike, as he possesses a tangible, flesh-and-blood body. He bears a striking resemblance to a human male, with his defining features being his long, jet-black hair, which is tied into two ponytails that stand erect and extend outward.
His eyes are a deep shade of purple and are relatively small, accompanied by thin eyebrows. A distinctive blood mark can be seen on both sides of his face, spanning across the bridge of his nose.
Choso dresses in a light tan robe that hangs loosely beneath a purple vest resembling a gi, with the vest forming a "v" shape over his chest, while the bottom extends to cover his waist and groin area. To complete his attire, he wears a matching round scarf around his neck and brown boots.

Personality
Choso is a very calm and reserved person who tends to fade into the background of social groups. He appears aloof and completely disassociated in most situations, with a bored expression on his face. Unlike most cursed spirits, Choso does not have an inherent desire to attack people, nor does he harbor any disdain toward jujutsu sorcerers.
He is not cruel or vicious in any way and generally speaks only when it has to do with his family. Choso is very attached and protective of his brothers, and upon being incarnated, he tells his two brothers that they live only for one another and that they are all one. He loves his human mother, and the sorcerer who toyed with him is the only one to earn his hatred.
During the Shibuya Incident, Choso agrees to fight alongside Mahito and Pseudo-Geto but ultimately pursues the goal of avenging his brothers. Even during the fight against Satoru Gojo, Choso barely committed himself to attack Gojo and stayed far back out of his range the entire time, upsetting Jogo.
Abilities and Powers
Choso has several abilities and powers that make him a formidable opponent. His cursed technique is called Blood Manipulation, which allows him to manipulate blood in his own body and produce it externally, as seen through the bleeding mark on his face. He can use the blood to create projectiles or solid constructs, which he can control with great precision.
Choso's other ability is called the Flowing Red Scale, which changes the shape of his bleeding mark and enhances his physical abilities. With this technique, Choso becomes faster, stronger, and more agile, allowing him to keep up with his opponents in battle.

Master of Blood Manipulation
Choso is a special-grade cursed spirit who has mastered the art of Blood Manipulation to a level that surpasses even Noritoshi Kamo, a powerful sorcerer in the series. Despite existing as a cursed object for 150 years, Choso was intelligent and self-aware, which allowed him to hone his cursed techniques. By the time he was incarnated, Choso was already a skilled blood manipulator capable of surprising even his fellow users.
In the battle to seal Satoru Gojo, Choso showcased a variety of Blood Manipulation techniques. Although none of them could breach Gojo's Infinity, Choso used them to slaughter non-sorcerers and put Gojo at a disadvantage. Choso's Blood Manipulation techniques include the Piercing Blood technique and the Blood Meteorite.
Taijutsu Expert
In addition to his Blood Manipulation skills, Choso is also an expert in taijutsu. He can stand up against master martial artists like Yuji and use his wit alongside a host of techniques to contend with their strength. In fact, Choso was able to overcome Yuji's superior close combat prowess, even after Mechamaru helped Yuji put the blood manipulator in a situation where he couldn't control it outside his body.
Choso's endurance and willingness to defend his little brother allowed him to tough it out against Naoya Zenin, a special grade 1 sorcerer and inheritor of the former head of the Zenin Family's Projection Sorcery. Although Naoya managed to injure Choso, the Death Painting Womb, and slice him open, Choso turned his wound into an advantage and once again overcame Naoya by using different Blood Manipulation moves in clever ways.
High Tactical Intellect
One of Choso's greatest weapons is his level of wisdom, thanks to his one-hundred and fifty years of existence. He has mastered Blood Manipulation to the extent that he can experiment with it and utilize its abilities in unique ways during battle. Choso applies his techniques in different ways to swing the tide of battle in his favor.
Choso's tactical prowess is evident in his ability to predict Yuji's attack and direct it to a hardened section of his body. He instinctively focused on controlling the blood inside him in spite of his minimal battle experience. Choso knew he couldn't physically compete with Yuji, so he used the Flowing Red Scale: Stack to even the odds. Despite Yuji gaining the upper hand, Choso hid some blood in his hand and shot a Blood Meteorite through his robe to hide the projectile that successfully pierced Yuji's liver.
Choso's tactical skills also extend to practical situations outside of combat. When faced with the obstacle of getting past Tengen's concealing barrier, Choso copied how Mahito invaded during an earlier encounter and successfully infiltrated the barrier.
Energy Manipulation
Choso possesses an immense amount of cursed energy that allows him to control his own blood with precision. He was created as an experiment to exceed the bounds of cursed energy, and his composition as a Death Painting Womb allows him to produce more of it at will.
Choso can charge his techniques with tremendous power, as seen in his Convergence attack, which amazed Noritoshi Kamo. Moreover, Choso was able to control his cursed energy constantly throughout all the conflicts in Shibuya without ever exhausting his reserves.
Death Painting Womb Physiology
As a Death Painting Womb user, Choso possesses unique abilities that distinguish him from other characters. One of these abilities is the Blood Connection, which enables him to sense the transformation of his younger brothers no matter how far away they are. This ability caused Choso to feel when Eso and Kechizu were killed, and it also made him foresee Yuji's upcoming death.
Additionally, Choso's blood is poisonous, just like his brothers', and it drains its victim's stamina and causes them to short of breath. His blood poisoning ability caused Naoya to vomit and Uraume's Ice Formation technique to disengage. Furthermore, Choso can convert his cursed energy into blood, preventing his body from dying of blood loss.
Inherited Technique
Choso inherited Blood Manipulation from the Kamo ancestor controlled by Kenjaku. He is a master of this technique, which he constantly uses to manipulate his own blood, making it an integral part of his combat arsenal. Choso has developed several techniques that utilize Blood Manipulation including Slicing Exorcism, Convergence, Piercing Blood, Supernova, Blood Edge, and Flowing Red Scale.
Slicing Exorcism is a technique that unleashes sharpened blood that rapidly flies through the air and slices through Choso's target. He can shape it into long streams of blood or form it into a rotating charkarm. Convergence, on the other hand, compresses and condenses the blood to its absolute limit with cursed energy. Choso uses this technique to charge up his most powerful attacks, Piercing Blood and Supernova.
Piercing Blood is a deadly blood beam fired from Choso's clasped hands after charging up Convergence. It possesses blistering speed and incredible piercing power, and Choso can bend the beam and make it ricochet. Supernova is a Choso original that he developed while honing Blood Manipulation for 150 years. It detonates several orbs of blood condensed with Convergence and fires reinforced blood bullets in every direction.
Blood Edge is a technique that shapes and strengthens blood's lethality by rotating it at high speed, allowing Choso to shape blood outside his body into a dagger. Flowing Red Scale improves the performance of Choso's body by pumping blood faster throughout his body, allowing him to take in more oxygen. This technique improves Choso's pulse rate and the number of red blood cells, granting a drastic increase in strength and speed.
