In chapter 8, Kawaki and Delta attempted to chase down Boruto after receiving intel about his location from Eida. However, their pursuit was futile, as the protagonist easily evaded them using his teleportation abilities. With Kawaki and Delta absent from the village, Jura and Hidari seized the opportunity to invade via the entrance, in order to locate "Naruto." Before they could advance further into the village, Kawaki intercepted them.

Jura swiftly incapacitated Kawaki, rendering him unconscious, and tasked Delta with watching over him in his incapacitated state. The complete details of chapter 9 haven't been revealed yet, but it is inferred that Kawaki and Delta form a two-person unit.

Kawaki's reliance on Delta as reinforcement or distraction during his confrontations with the protagonist is suggested by the fact that the protagonist has already demonstrated superior skill and combat prowess, with Kawaki's mastery over his Karma mode being his only advantage. Since the protagonist is unwilling to utilize his Karma due to the risk of another Momoshiki possession, Kawaki's Karma remains his trump card against Boruto.

This supports the theory that Kawaki requires Delta as a backup during his duels with Boruto, especially considering that Daemon's primary objective is to aid and safeguard Eida, while Mitsuki is preoccupied with his own personal matters. Consequently, Delta emerges as the only potential "ally" that Kawaki can leverage in his fights against his rival.

In chapter 9, Boruto rushes back to the village upon sensing the deaths of several Hidden Leaf shinobi. Despite their rivalry, the protagonist demonstrates superior skill by effortlessly evading Kawaki's Black Receiver rods.

This highlights the protagonist's advancement over Kawaki's abilities. Additionally, the chapter unveils Himawari's potential connection to a young tailed beast sealed within her. The revelation prompts speculation about the reincarnation of tailed beasts as a new plot device. However, it's essential to remember that tailed beasts are pure chakra entities in the Naruto series.

While they can reform after death, the preservation of their ego and personality remains uncertain. Himawari's revelation adds a layer of mystery to the narrative, raising questions about her role and the significance of the tailed beast within her.
