Sony revealed that technical testing is set for Feb. 15-21. It will be available as a free download for anyone to download and play. Soon after the testing phase, it's expected that more information about the latest entry into the franchise will be released.

As the release dates continue to draw near, Sony has been titillating fans by releasing small pieces of information every few days. The series has already announced several exciting changes and upgrades to the latest iteration of the franchise, including the introduction of two-way players and the universal DH.

Another feature already announced by Sony is the "Storylines" mode, which will allow players to play through key stories about several Negro League stars, including Satchel Paige and Jackie Robinson.

"It was an honor having Negro Leagues Baseball Museum President Bob Kendrick (@nlbmprez) speak about the rich history of the Negro Leagues and his excitement about the new game experience in #MLBTheShow 23 Storylines.Watch the Feature Premiere here: https://mlbthe.show/35c314" - MLB The Show

One of the favorite modes among players remains the franchise mode, which allows players to take over their favorite MLB clubs, making decisions from roster construction to stadium upgrades and staff changes.

Some of the changes coming to The Show 23 include an improved MLB Draft experience that has been revamped to add strategy and depth to managing your organization. The new MLB postseason format, schedule, and CBA updates are also now reflected.

Expanded commentary and in-game presentation updates will bring updated broadcast themes, realistic 3D environments, and more details to uniforms and equipment.
