The Los Angeles Dodgers have decided on their final roster a week ahead of opening day. They will give James Outman a shot in the outfield this season as he made the opening day roster.

Outman played in four games for the Dodgers last season, hitting a home run in his first at-bat after being called up. After he was sent down to Triple-A for the rest of the season, he went nuclear. He hit .333/.422/.720, along with two cycles in a week's span.

Outman has made 16 starts in the spring. During that time, he's hitting .268/.354/.512 with two home runs. Aside from his time in the outfield, the team has employed him as the DH in several games.

Outman's call-up likely comes amid Gavin Lux's injury. Lux, who tore his ACL weeks ago, will be out for the entire 2023 season.

"Well deserved!!!" one fan tweeted.
"so happy for this kid! Let's go!!!" another fan tweeted.

Los Angeles Dodgers fans couldn't be happier with the news of Outman making the opening day roster. He's an exciting player who could provide a spark for the team.

Fans are also excited about the season prospect Miguel Vargas could have. He was limited in spring training after returning from a hairline fracture in his pinky. Since his restrictions have been lifted, he's been absolutely crushing the ball.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are going to be interesting this season

The Los Angeles Dodgers don't look as intimidating as they once did. Losing Trea Turner in free agency was a punch to the gut. Gavin Lux tearing his ACL doesn't help matters, either.

Luckily, the team traded for Miguel Rojas before Lux's injury. The Dodgers sent Jacob Amaya to the Miami Marlins in exchange for Rojas. Rojas isn't a needle-moving shortstop, but he's very capable of being an everyday starter. in 136 games at shortstop last season, he compiled a .987 fielding percentage.

The team will have to rely more on the performances of Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman. Both players must come out of the gate hot if the Dodgers want a chance to win the division again.

The Dodgers are going to be an interesting team to follow this season. Can other players like James Outman and Miguel Rojas step up and perform above expectations?
