MLB games are set to return to Apple TV+ for the 2023 season. The rapidly growing streaming service will be hosting a doubleheader every Friday. Similar to last season, "Friday Night Baseball" will cover a range of teams.

This season, however, fans will have to pay a subscription fee in the range of $6.99 per month in the United States ($69 per year). Apple has also decided to extend its range and offer games in 60 nations instead of the 13 nations it was available last year.

Apply TV has been expanding its sports portfolio and will hope its partnership with MLB can lead to a long and successful relationship. The coverage will open with the Chicago Cubs facing the Texas Rangers, followed by the San Diego Padres versus the Atlanta Braves on April 7.

MLB fans took to Twitter to vent their frustrations at the renewal. Last season, fans were unhappy with the quality of coverage from Apple TV, with many critical of the streaming service.

Apple TV has been criticized due to its poor production and choice of commentators. Many fans prefer other networks when it comes to baseball broadcasts.

The fact that fans have to pay a fee this year to watch their favorite teams only adds to their frustrations.

Apply TV continues to build its sports portfolio and will show MLB games throughout the 2023 season

The goal for both MLB and Apple TV will be to grow ratings and the popularity of the game on an international scale.

Apple TV plans to expand its broadcasting crew and will bring in several specialists and former players. Some of the additions include former Florida Marlins pitcher Dontrelle Willis and Colorado Rockies outfielder Ryan Spilborghs.

The site will also provide pre-game and post-game coverage and detailed analysis of the games.

For baseball fans, it may take some time to get used to Apple TV. The streaming site will hope that its updates and improvements will be enough to convince fans to tune in.
